  1. @Charco I meant the PicoDrive core in RA you could make a 2nd instance of RA using the same exe but configure the new one to use PicoDrive core for Sega CD instead. @creamdonut I think if you put in -L "cores\Picodrive_libretro.dll" in the command line for each game it will work.
  2. If you put them in the CD category and you use RA with the GensGXP core for CD games the 5 CD32X games will have to have a custom config or they won't launch as only PicoDrive core will work for them.
  3. I had a buddy over who produces music and he was checking out some of the soundtracks looking for samples and loops that he could use he was loving some stuff from the Altered Beast sound track and a few others.
  4. I don't specify my Japanese games and they load correctly in RA what file type are you using RA doesn't like the .ecm file type

    The Movie Topic

Good luck with all that tomorrow
  6. @jaythompsonthanks for correcting me there and teaching others how they can get around the naming issue I wasn't aware of that setting its good to know.
  7. Change your platform to match what RL is expecting so use ctrl+a to highlight all your arcade games then hit ctrl+e to open the bulk edit wizard and change the platform name to MAME then go and find all of your arcade media in Images, Manuals, Music and Videos in LB and change the Arcade folder name to MAME and it should work as RL expects it to. That is why I don't like RA it is too rigid.
  8. I don't believe that it is and I'm pretty sure that is a unique request though.
  9. @CliveBarkerif I reject the directx during update it ends the update I just prompt it yes every time
  10. Yeah if you don't have the drive plugged in all the time then I guess the ini would be pointless.
  11. If your whole MAME set is on another disk locally or the network you can add its path to the ini and it will get the files without needing to move them into LB. I mostly have seen Brad suggest not moving your ROMs into LB especially your MAME that would also be my recommendation. If the program isn't importing the needed files you should make a BitBucket ticket and see if you can get it added to avoid confusion in the future.
  12. Okay 1st off when you moved your ROMs into LB did you add that folder path to MAME if not MAME doesn't recognize where you are calling the file from most likely. To change that open the MAME.ini file and add the additional path to your LB\Games\Arcade. If you changed the path to to the LB folder without keeping the original path you can just add an additional path to the original ROMs folder inside of MAME and that should do the trick or you can just go to your original MAME\ROMs folder and copy everything and paste it into your LB folder.
  13. I only use the controller automation feature for volume as my ten buttons are mapped for other settings I'd rathe use.It would be nice if controller support would be improved to include mapping axes and triggers to add more functionality.
  14. I have a Logitech F710 that uses XBox 360 drivers I'm using start and select via the controller animation in LB to close the emulator
  15. Here are my LilyPad settings seems to be closing everything fine for me using 2.0 version of the emulator.
  16. I use the EmuCR builds maybe they changed something in the code to use newer MAME ROMs at some point and the last stable build (which I believe is old) didn't. I'm not sure just know the EmuCR versions do.
  17. @SentaiBradthe only game for Model 3 that doesn't work directly from the MAME 179 set is one of the virtual Fighter games which has 1 different file so it definitely does use MAME ROMs.I recently download the set from there and tested it I have a bat in the download section that will copy the roms from your MAME set and put them in their own folder if you want to test.

You can also turn off any duplication that you don't want either.

    Network Drive

I run Windows Home Server 2011 and Windows Server 2012 R2 Essentials I have like 14 PC's and the one server makes backups of all of my systems the other server has all of my media and runs my Plex and Subsonic servers. I just like the add features Windows offers over NAS.
  20. I don't use MESS at all I just use MAME it takes all the same commands that MESS does much easier as long as those system bios files are in your MAME ROMs full set they should just work.

    Network Drive

Its like it but it isn't you can unplug any drive move it to another PC and it will work just like a regular drive anything outside of the pool folder on the drive is just on the regular drive not on the pool it is very versatile. It is set to duplicate files at least twice so yes it eats half your space you can also set specific folders to duplicate more time or the whole pool but it isn't like raid because you can't really lose your data with one drive missing. There are tons of post about it on WeGotServed.com the lead mod over there is actually the tech support guy for StableBit he is a really smart dude who knows his shit if you run into issues.

    Network Drive

It duplicates all your files on different drives if you lose a drive you put a new one in and it will copy all the unduplicated files to the new drive it has saved me a few times only risk is if you lose more than one drive at once.. The drive remains in the normal windows file system it just creates one folder on the drive that is part of the pooled drive
