  1. In the latest @SIMPLY AUSTINEmunation video he shouts out a guy named Retro-Humanoid who does RL tutorials
  2. You really don't need to learn how to use RL and LB together you just have to learn how to use RL setting it up in LB is as easy as making it your platforms emulator. There are a few things to it though like I don't think RL accepts custom platforms and you are handcuffed using there naming system.
  3. I have 4 i5's I can test it on later 2 have 6500's one is a 3330 and the other is a mobile chip that I don't recall its number all run BB but I would have to test them using CoverFlow. Honestly though I don't think your specs are the issue and that there must be some underlying issue. Mostly every one on this thread has a system that shouldn't be causing them issues. I run BB on a tablet with an Atom and 1GB of RAM now I won't say that the performance is stellar or anything but it is at least usable although I wouldn't attempt it with CoverFlow Tested it on i5 3330 8GB RAM still works great.
  4. Just tested using CoverFlow with my i7 4700K in my bedroom 16GB of RAM Windows 10 64 bit and coverflow is butter smooth on here.

    Network Drive

I use some games from a network drive but they are 8 and 16 bit games so it has never been an issue I have however tried loading more advanced emulators with games from the network drive and it showed performance issues compared to moving the game locally. I would suggest trying it out 1st if you already have the drive.
  6. I'm pretty sure any custom notes you added will be deleted when you delete the game deleting the game removes it from the xml so I believe the notes are kept there for each individual game. Your images music and videos aren't tied to the xml and that is why they aren't deleted like the notes when you remove games.
  7. Yeah a 4th gen i7 should still be very capable.
  8. Try turning off your anti-virus and see if that helps. 3rd party aniti-virus sometime falsely flags LB
  9. Yeah I've never had it flagged using Windows Defender in Windows 10 and that's a lot of updates for me.
  10. You are going to have game gear images in your Genesis folders most likely
  11. Hey @xena990welcome to the community and thanks for wanting to contribute I'm sure that at @Jason Carr will get back with you regarding this.
  12. RA PSX core shouldn't be causing issues for his system its got a new i7 a 900 series card and 8GB of RAM so it should handle anything
  13. There isn't one built into BigBox to use through the Steam Link you have to setup BigBox as a nonsteam application and cast it from Steam but it works exceptionally good. I don't have any experience with the Chromecast so Google is your friend here search Windows Gaming on Chromecast.
  14. Unless your TV has a casting or streaming device built into it you will need something that is HDMI to connect to your TV. Steamlink is used by a few people around here. You could probably use a Chromecast but in the past there was a lot of input latency that would hamper the experience (no real world experience with this saw it on YT).
  15. you can even shell your PC so it doesn't start explorer.exe it will just run BigBox like an appliance if you want. I don't do this personally but I have tested it I believe the program is called bset shell but I'm not 100 @lordmonkuswould know for sure he is the one that showed me the porgram Okay he beat me to it.
  16. Well finally got the back panel on the arcade machine today so it is still plain jane with no graphics but I added the pass through for the power cord and the Keystone Jack wall plate for ehternet and USB devices but I figured I'd post some pics of it. This is the cord I choose it is just an extension cord with 3 outlets but it has this handy switch that allows it to power the computer on via a bios setting to start on power.
  17. yeah none of that bothers me at all I guess deleting them really doesn't either so I'm easy either way
  18. I have a few super hero games that have like cool ass art from an issue or a wallpaper and even though they don't have anything to do with the game I think they look good so I'd be torn in some cases.
  19. I think you can turn the bezels off in the mame.ini In my ini it is line 52 use bezels 1 change the value to 0 to turn it off.
  20. While using Hypertate maybe a good solution to get a vertical frontend for the OP right this moment maybe @Jason Carrcould looking into designing a vertical theme so that the best advice we could give posters is go try another program out instead of BB.
  21. Yeah mine is all wood still I don't know what I'm going to do for a design I was going to use @Rincewind's design he did for Jason but my controls and buttons are blue and red and it really won't match. I also have to figure out how to do a split marquee as I'm adding a 7 inch monitor in the marquee and just need some design to meet up with monitor on both sides.
