  1. I've had this issue for quite some times myself but just double click it to maximize it. I did report it yesterday but I don't think its much of a concern
  2. Okay there is a little confusion here 1st off the game path under edit platform is always set to the default LB folder regardless of where your games are. 2nd you don't need to add your CHD files into LB you just need to them in MAME and they can be in separate folders as long as you point the MAME.ini paths to both locations. Also you can have games in different directories that are in the same platform.
  3. you can use all the media and roms on a server for any builds but to be honest because it isn't really optimized for something like this I don't suggest doing so with your media only the games themselves. Even to point the media to a location outside of the LB folder is a cumbersome task that involves change paths to every folder you have manually so its really an undertaking to attempt doing so now if you were to set all your media in one folder on a server and then use symlinks on your device to make it point those folder to the default LB that would be somewhat easier but still you would probably run into performance issues
  4. I already use ROMs from a network server in LB and it works pretty good and as long as I use the computer name in the path instead of a network drive then it is pretty much portable between computers to just copy your build over although a real server solution like a Plex would be great but I also wouldn't guarantee that the performance would be great accessing it from anywhere in the world type of thing
  5. yeah by default MAME has them zipped the same as the roms and for using the UI those zips are required but with command line it will load other formats MAME is weird.
  6. software list would be .zip with .bin inside or at least I think the a2600 stuff is in .bin in MAME.
  7. .bin should work in Stella and he can already load them outside of LB
  8. Okay so it won't even launch the emulator are you pointing it to the installer maybe and not the actual emulator.
  9. ah then I'm fresh out of ideas as it looks like it should work if you right click a game and choose launch Stella will it launch the emulator without a game.
  10. are the games zipped? I know Stella should work with zipped games but try checking the checkbox to have LB unzip them
  11. if you used a bat file that started BB and then was instructed to launch a specific game with an emulator instead of the BB.exe in startup you could make something like this happen but you would have to specify the new game each month in the bat but no there is no built in solution to make that happen.
  12. Try going to your update folder and running the latest installer again overtop of your current install it will only replace your exe files and none of your media or data will be lost.
  13. I'm confused you want LB to support your hardware switching between 4 and 8 way mode. If its done by a script or bat then you can probably already do it using the additional apps feature in LB.
  14. How recently were they excepted LB only updates its database in the app once every 24 hours so it may not have been pushed through yet to the internal db on your computer.
  15. What I did when I experimented with this was created a platform in LB called Utilities and I put a short cut to Explorer.exe in there so if I needed to open windows I could go into the utilities platform and launch it from there. I ended up instead just using autologon which is in the Microsoft SysInternal suite and just put BigBox in my startup folder so while yes I do see Windows at launch the computer takes care of everything automatically to get BigBox up and running
  16. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30135 If you ever run into issues again just try running this tool. Windows must have reinstalled 4.7 of .net framework though because LB wouldn't work with 4.0
  17. yeah my bad looking at that xml it doesn't look like its a platform or Playlist for LB so I have no clue what it was even posted for I guess it just supposed to be an example of the vertical games and you can use it as a reference to move the games accordingly in LB. I assumed it was a customized platform xml for LB without looking at it and turns out I was incorrect sorry about that.
  18. There is currently no way to add additional apps in bulk unfortunately. Hopefully in the future this may change.
  19. Not sure but what you should be doing on import is going to the folder where all your PS1 games are and putting *.cue in the search bar this will show the results of only all of your cues files then you would click one of the cues Press ctrl+a to highlight them all and then drag them right onto to Launchbox game screen this will start the import wizard at the point where it will ask if you want to import roms dos games or none of the above then from there you just finish the wizard and it will have imported your cue files. If you do choose to move your files into the Launchbox game folder be sure to copy all of your remaining bin files into the same location if you are leaving the files where ever they were originally then this isn't a concern.
  20. You would just put the XML in Launchbox\Data\Platforms while LB was closed and then next time you opened it the platform would be in LB.
  21. There are MAME improvements that were voted highly on the last poll so we are waiting to see what they consist of. How far down the rabbit hole they will go I can't really say.
  22. There is no such filter in LB
  23. @Dando you save on exit turned off in RetroArch? That sort of sounds like what your issue may be.
  24. I found a program named Bulk Rename Utility to do both my NDS and N3DS roms you just tell how many characters you want to cut out and it removes all the numbering all in a couple of button presses. Since then I've found a few other uses for it and I highly recommend it to anyone.
  25. There is currently no way to set keyboard combos to close BB
