  1. @Klopjero Hey do you have a link to where you got the computer backgrounds from? Nevermind, found it.
  2. How do you get playlists as a platform category? I've always had to hit my keybinding to get into the playlists.
  3. I'm not sure launchbox has such a feature yet, although it would be very welcomed. It can be startling sometimes. I used a program called volume normalizer master to do a few videos.
  4. Ok, so now I'm filling in my set with properly named box art so I can run the batch image thing for the new bannerbox theme. As an example, I renamed all my Sega Saturn box art to game name-01.png, because the community theme creator seems to randomly have a problem with box art named game name (USA).png. I don't want to download any new box art because I spent like 3 hours on getting this normal cd jewel case box art all imported the first time. So now that they are all renamed, launchbox automatically refreshed images for like half of the games, even though all of the files are in the box art front folder. So can I just re-scan the box art from that specific folder and make it look there and fill in gaps? Or do I have to keep editing each game one by one and manually add the box art again in the little image window (right click, add image)?
  5. So it may be the .png that is killing it. Good idea. Any recommendations on a little program that will just run through them all?
  6. Yeah, that, and if you have a platform that you keep adding to like say PC Games,...then each time you add a game you have to go use the community theme creator with the template and run a new batch for those games. If Launchbox could call upon box art and clear logo in one shot like the theme creater referenced, then I think this could be a more universal success. Because as it sits right now, you have to have a person who will want to use/be comfortable using the community theme creator to run batches of images, as well as want to have at least over 4 gigs of extra images for this. That's where I sit right now and I have about 10 systems left to do. I can absorb the storage hit just to test out the theme and check it out, but damn,...that's just too big. It needs to be able to use existing assets. Hopefully @Jason Carr can work a little magic just for this little area of the program?
  7. I am missing about 50 banners between NES and SNES. Don't know if I really want to go through all that to make them one by one. Just taking a look through N64, already have like 10 missing from that. EDIT: Seems as though I have to refresh all those games' metadata so launchbox looks up their Database ID so that the theme will show the image for the game. Well for some anyways,...some are still completely missing from the artwork folder (Adventures of lolo DB: 328 for example).
  8. Ok, cuz I brought all the assets into photoshop and was trying to make a few. one-click would definitely be awesome. Got it pretty close with gaussian blur 5.0
  9. After running through it for a while I'm now wondering if there is a way to edit the transitions to be quicker and snappier. Basically to have every transition after you land on a game to happen quicker. Also is there a way to have a default blank banner for games that don't have a proper banner? Or do we have to make one for each game we find that is missing one?
  10. I noticed all the individual game banner file names are numbers. So if we have to make our own banners for some games (homebrew/hacks) how do we know what number to use? - Edit: It's the LB database number.
  11. Thank you for including a template to make our own banners! So many creators don't furnish users with templates to make it easier to add oddball systems, or custom named systems. Thank you again. Now trying to use the template, but I don't know the setting for the enlarged box art with blur layer.
  12. Yeah they picked it up after mameuifx stopped being updated/worked on. While I can do my share of editing .inis and stuff, I always enjoy being able to point and click my way through options in a GUI, so I'm glad they kept it going. Got some great .lay bezels from the bezel project (had to edit some of them, the photoshop cut of the inside of the screen was horrible). Now I can get cracking on some hi scores. Adds some fun connectivity to launchbox, and gives you a reason to play some games again lol.
  13. I want to hold down my select button on my xbox360 wired controller for like maybe 3 seconds max, to exit MAME (arcade64). Trying to be able to use it in the newest launchbox with hiscore integration. That integration won't work with rocketlauncher, and since I use that to keymap everything (joy2key), I've never had to figure out any script stuff before since it is all point and click through there. But I'm trying to just get MAME to work straight through launchbox so I can do the hiscore integration, but don't want to have to reach up to the keyboard to hit esc everytime I need to exit. Would like to have it on the controller like every other system I have.
  14. Where do you put this code in launchbox? And, can you map a controller button (select on xbox360 wired) to make it press ESC after say 1,000 ms of being held down? so you have to hold it down first for a little bit (not as many accidental escapes).
  15. Just used this to update my arcade roms path and it said that 7 of the files selected do not exist in the new directory so i selected don't update those but update the rest. Is there a way to find out which 7 games it didn't find in the new path?
  16. It works with the newest version of Arcade64, outside of rocketlauncher.
  17. Yeah could do that but what would the point be at this juncture? I trust that it works since I see other peoples scores. So that's fine.
  18. Yeah I guess I could sometime. But wouldn't i have to update all my rom files and such? I suppose it wouldn't be too hard to find a specific one just to test with. But meh, even if standalone mame worked, I don't feel like trying to curate the newest romset, and I already have everything setup perfectly this way through RL also (pause savestates, bezels, fades, keymapping profiles). I wouldn't switch anyways even if standalone mame worked. Obviously it works because I see scores over there on the games. So oh well. Maybe someday i'll be in the mood to completely update and curate and stuff, and find a mame .lay bezel set that I like. But for now I'll just stick with what works for me. Or hopefully be allowed to point launchbox to the correct files someday. Gonna have to turn the feature off now lol. I can't be teased by everyone else's scores and not be able to join in the fun haha.
  19. Just set up one game with mameuifx directly as the emulator within launchbox and now the log said: 2020-04-13 04:41:08 PM Aborting MameHighScores.Prepare: Could not retrieve plugin.ini path, and could not successfully tell MAME to create one. 2020-04-13 04:43:58 PM MameHighScores.Parse Failed: Current ROM file does not match the ROM file with the saved scores. Were multiple games launched at once? Dang. Really wish I could just point launchbox to my hiscore.dat file and be done with it lol.
  20. I'm guessing because you'd have to break through the control of RL to get down to the files? it is too much of a barrier layer right? Easier if you have direct access through the emulator and it's files straight into launchbox?
  21. Wowww. that's too bad. I have all my bezels and stuff set up in RL for Arcade. Would really like to use this feature.
  22. Just tried it again, doesn't look like it finds the file. Maybe it's because I'm using Rocketlauncher? Can I tell Launchbox where to look for the files/directories it needs manually? Debug 2020-04-13 12-39-48 PM.log
  23. Yeah i created that directory structure and copied the hiscore.dat into it, and that log was generated after that.
  24. It is already putting the .hi's in the hi folder. Launchbox is not looking for the hiscore.dat in the right spot for mameuifx.
