  1. Wondering if someone could make a plugin that allows you to add custom metadata fields for platforms, just like you currently can for games.
  2. I tried this, after installing the codec pack you linked to. It didn't work - the video screen was black; videos wouldn't play at all. Change back to VLC and the videos at least play.
  3. This is cool. There's another site that shows you in a similarly clean fashion the insides of the consoles; might be nice to add in those images.
  4. Very strange. Can't you re-up elsewhere?
  5. The link to the additional videos doesn't seem to work?
  6. I've noticed the same problem recently (I guess over recent weeks). Scanning a platform which has only 5 roms for added roms takes a few minutes. I wonder if this is some kind of bug with recent releases. @AstroBob FYI.
  7. Hi, further to our Discord chat @AstroBob, I'd be keen on having Launchbox be able to add custom fields to platforms, just like you curently can for games. I'd be keen to add "generation" and "region" fields to platforms, for example. I would also add some details about the romset and the emulator, for easy reference. I have a top feature requests thread in the features section of the forum, but my other big requests would be rom manager functionality (the ability to read DATs and compare to your roms) and the ability to add more info in the platform tree when viewing in platform or platform category mode (for example, to show the release year of the console there, and maybe the ability to sort by release year). Small requests would include adding more 3D models (cassette primarily), adding support for all 4 spine images, adding a horizontal lock for the rotating 3D box (so it will only rotate in the horizontal plane), and adding more image types for platforms (e.g. box, controller, etc). A number of these issues are on the Github though I'd be grateful for any further consideration of them!
  8. The spine text needs angled.
  9. I have exactly the same problem - both the videos just being a black box (but with the video playing, as the sound is audible), and also the video appearing very small in the corner (less often). Default theme. This is with VLC. With WMP, the videos often don't play at all.
  10. Interesting...what's the purpose of adding that to the top of the box art?

Back once again - this time with a Nintendo NES Marquee / Banner pack. Based on the No-Intro set. Big shout out to @y2guru for the CTC marquee generator! The banners consist of a 3D box on the left, logo in the middle and cart on the right, all over a blurred fanart background. The set is fairly complete but some games don't have fan art and so these marquees just have a black background. I had previously released a similar set for the Nintendo Famicom (Japan region), consisting of 1294 marquees. This new set includes all regions and contains 2522 marquees, split into 4 zips. Like before, these marquees are fairly long and slim, measuring 2250 x 500px. A couple of other banner sets are out there but they're generally fatter in terms of the dimensions and with a different aesthetic. Let me know if any issues or requests.
  12. Could you do "handhelds" - but single handheld games (including Game n Watch but also others), rather than handheld consoles like the Game Boy, DS, etc.
  13. Thanks @rexryan, that was quick! In the meantime I have added Pit Fighter as well as Double Dragon II - but your image is cleaner!
  14. Are these originals or reconstructed?
  15. Hi Dave, hope you're good. Any movement on a similar app for Launchbox themes?
  16. I haven't used this plugin, but it sounds great. This feature should be an integral part of Launchbox really!
  17. Is there any way to achieve what we're trying to do @C-Beats? Basically we have No-Intro sets, need to have the roms separate in Launchbox (rather than combined) and want to create a main playlist that filters out duplicates using strings within the version field (rather than the whole version field). As @Clutz450 said, adding semicolons manually to the version fields isn't really tenable. To my mind, a new rule in the auto-playlist feature that looks within the version field would easily do it.
  18. Nice work, sounds like a lot of effort!
  19. Any progress with this? Or in adding AND/OR operators when creating auto-playlists?
  20. The "view 3D box model" opens up the 3D box but it's too big for the monitor and I have to manually zoom out each time. I don't think this problem is specific to this beta. @Timber-eXoProjects - I'm waiting for this too - or at least left and right spines initially.
  21. I'm having a problem with "scan for added [platform name] roms" with this build. I'm testing it with the NES No-Intro set. It detected about 10 new roms (after around 30 seconds), but then when I click OK to import it seems to get stuck on "Initialising import process...". Been going for around 20 minutes now. Normally LB is pretty snappy. Don't know if it's related, but I continued doing some work on the NES platform and then it threw an error:
  22. A screenshot or two would be nice
  23. True, but then you’d have duplication of “platforms”. I’ve added it as a feature request.
