  1. If you run a game directly in Mame (not using Launchbox) they still work correct? If so, try going into Launchbox and turn off Startup screens globally (for all emulators) or just turn it off for Mame and see if the games launch. I would turn it off in the Launchbox and BigBox settings if you turn them off globally.
  2. @deksi Per forum rules do not link to site with downlaodable roms. I removed the link from your post. You can list the name of the site, just do not provide a link.
  3. You fixed this I believe, Jason. Some users did not want the images in the details pane in Launchbox appearing in random order. They wanted it to respect the image priority settings they set in Launchbox.
  4. Responded to your other post on this. Can you be more specific as to what you mean by not working? Do games just not launch? Do they launch and crash? Do they launch but you see a black screen? We need a bit more information to try and trouble shoot.
  5. Can you be more specific as you what you mean by Mame is not working? What or how is it not working?
  6. You can have a platform show up under any Platform Category you want. Create Arcade, Living Room, Office as "Platform Category" (not as "Platform) then under those categories you can have your platforms and playlists. You can edit a specific platform and playlist by right clicking on it and choosing edit. Go into the Parents tab and select where you want it.
  7. These are shown when you click on the "View File" button in the first post. In the themes download thread it has the images and description.
  8. in LaunchBox or BigBox?
  9. To quote Jason
  10. There is an audit feature in Launchbox you can run per platform. It will show you an Excel style grid showing some of the metadata fields (it does not show notes), the video path (it will show this only if a video exists for the game) and some image types. You can copy it and export it to use as a way to see some of the data that may be missing. It is not inclusive of all media types and metadata types Launchbox holds so just an FYI. Click on a platform (let's say Arcade) and when you go to Tools just over half way down you will see "Audit Arcade". Each time you choose a platform it will show that platforms name after Audit.
  11. Glad you got it sorted!
  12. Was this a clean install of Mame 209 or did you transfer over any settings from your prior version? Any chance in Mame you set the UI Cancel to button or buttons other than the default of "Escape"? Reason I ask is I used to use Buttons 4 and 2 as my exit hook in Mame for my arcade stick. With the latest versions of Mame if I keep that in Mame's config when I try to exit from the Pause menu I get that palette screen as you do. If I put Mame's UI Cancel back to default key of "Esc" it works fine. Controller Automation does require a "Hold" button.
  13. I would try the 3840 and see what it does. Also, did you try adjusting the scaling and not just the resolution?
  14. Also you do not need to have the command line -run=dc -image= in this tab since you also have it in the associated platform tab. Just an FYI. Especially if you are going to use Demul to run Atomiswave, Hikaru, or Naomi. Just have it in the associated platforms tab.
  15. That would be my best guess. I have not had my 4K monitor or TV connected to my launchbox setups in a while, but they all displayed correctly the default and many other themes. Change the scaling in your display setting and see. Easy to change back if it doesn't affect it.
  16. What is your scaling set to? BigBox will not have any settings to adjust scaling you would have to do this in your pc's display settings. I know we have a bunch of forum members and mods who run 4k without this issue.
  17. It is hard to say what could be causing it. We have seen pause working very well with Retroarch. Have you tested making sure all other programs are closed to reduce the risk of something else affecting the process? Are you seeing it with any core you use or only certain ones? Just taking a stab in the dark here. Have you tested with any other emulator?
  18. Thanks Neil. I was just headed to do that and could not find the thread. LOL.
  19. I know there have been some recent posts on focus loss like this with mame. It has been working well for a lot of users. Are you using the standard command line mame or one of the offshoots like MameUI or Arcade64?
  20. Yeah, defining "Game Over" for use here as well as what one considers nice/clean is a bit subjective, but the good thing is themes can be edited to suit your need if you know how. The Startup/Shutdown themes are created by users and shared with the community. If you have the skills you can either create one or edit one of the existing ones. In the default shutdown.xaml you can delete that text and have it not show at all or change it to another term. The only theme you cannot edit is the one in the folder named "Default". You can copy it, rename it, then edit if you like.
  21. That version is about 2.5 years old so there could be some minor issues with it and current Launchbox/BigBox features. We have seen older versions having issues with the new features. Try editing your Mame set-up in Launchbox and delete the "-keyboardprovider dinput" in the default command line prompt section. See if that helps. With new feature development in LB/BB I would recommend updating to a more current mame version and rom set. If that is something you do not wish to do, then you will likely need to find some work arounds to issues you are or may experience.
  22. There is not a list compiled with that information. Typically that box is unchecked by default for almost all emulators, unless through Jason's testing or through feedback from the forum a specific emulator would need that checked and then Jason had the box ticked already. You might read through this thread to see if anyone reported any emulators that had issues and needed that box checked. I have quite a few that I use on a test pc and none of them have needed that checked.
  23. @Belos I edited your post. Please be aware linking to sites with roms is against our forum rules.
  24. Until Jason does implement a solution I would post a thread out in troubleshooting. I have seen a couple members post some in depth responses to AHK questions. Maybe they can help find a workaround. I would be interested in any solution as I am about to build a driving cab.
