You can leave the media. Uncheck the media options and the import should match the LB game name to the media with the same name after import.
-
Please use the "Request a Feature" option located at the top of the forum under "Help & Support". This allows us to track request and see users votes for it. Once you do so I would also post a link to it in your original post to drive other who may want the feature to vote. The more users that request a feature the better chance it has.

Marquee banner images adapted to fill out ultra-wide 1920x360 displays
Retro808 replied to CTarcade's topic in Game Media
I do not know if someone may have made them on another site, but I know I have not seen them on ours or EmuMovies. Marquee image sizes are pretty scattered. -
Marquee banner images adapted to fill out ultra-wide 1920x360 displays
Retro808 replied to CTarcade's topic in Game Media
There really are not. There really is not set aspect for marquee images and those who recreate the originals from the actual arcade cabinet usually make them in the aspect the original artwork was in. You can use the Community Theme Creator to start creating your own marquee images in the exact size you need. The theme creator is also useful for creating custom images. Here is an example from Mr. Retro Lust. You can use his template and change the size to fit what you need. -

If you have high scores set up and working properly (If they show for you in the Default theme) then you do not need to do anything for this theme. They show up like in the Default theme as an option to click on next to the "Overview" option. If the game supports High Scores you will get a "High Score" text to click on. If you downloaded the theme's 2.11 version you do need to be on the most current LB version.

I would recommend just adding a link to it in your original post. Just an FYI you can have other pdf files visible in Pause menu. If you have magazine scans, cheats/moves lists, or any other relative data in pdf format you can add them using the "Additional Applications" options in the edit game screens.

Yes, you can control how the images transition from game to game as well. CTC is pretty user friendly if you do not know how to code. Y2guru has developed that tool a ton since he started it. Some more creative things though you might have to manually do behind the scenes, but for the most part his theme creator is pretty robust. Our youtube channel Faeren has regular streams with him using the tool to create themes and shows a lot of what it can do.

Bigbox 12.7 banners - a persistant annoyance.
Retro808 replied to Klopjero's topic in Troubleshooting
Ah crap. I missed the image type referenced. Thanks @C-Beats completely forgot about the revamp in the PlatformMarqueeView.xml file. -
Never messed with Hyperspin so not sure on what you mean exactly. If you mean something like a smooth fade onto screen and fade off and other transition type movements that is already possible with theme coding. This is not really a feature a lot of users have requested to have as a stock setting to tick. So if you are looking for some type of actual transition it would need to be coded into the PlatformMarqueeView..xml and the GameMarqueeView.xaml to use in a theme. Something that has been able to be done for several years now.

Many just use a standard monitor as a marquee. However, more and more we are seeing users take advantage of cut monitors like these to use as marquees. Which is why the new setting in BB allows a user to select the type of monitor being used to better situate the images on the screen. You can find them cheap on the Chinese marketplaces. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07QGBL568/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 https://www.ebay.com/itm/294633671959?hash=item4499890d17:g:UyUAAOSwRoVfVygI

Yes, the images should quickly change with no noticeable flicker or lag. If the images quickly switched to the next one for you then you had no issues.
-
It is not something that needs activating. It is just updated code to the software that has made marquees run a bit lighter on has less of a performance hit on low-end hardware. It has also reduced from flickering that would occur during image changes. This was most notable on users that were using a custom Marquee view that may have had multiple images/metadata showing on the marquee screen.

Bigbox 12.7 banners - a persistant annoyance.
Retro808 replied to Klopjero's topic in Troubleshooting
In LB Tools check if you have anything else "checked" in your Marquee Priorities. That fallback could be pulling one of those images that might be in another image type folder. -
Other than Neil's recommendation for a Feature update the only way for this to be done is custom coding in a theme. Marquees though do have new coding that will default to clear logo and fanart backgrounds when no marquee image file exists. It has logic that will check for a marquee video and if none fall back to marquee image. Then if no marquee image, fallback to clear logo and fanart background. If you are using a custom theme though the theme will likely not have this coding. You can simply open the BB Defaul theme and copy the GameMarqueeView.xml file into the /Views folder of your custom theme.

Well that error code you posted only appears when a pirated license is being used as that is the reason the code was created. So check inside your \LaunchBox folder and if you see a file called License.xml remove it and try again.
-
Please see our above response to this issue. Same thing applies to your issue. The license you are using has been flagged as being pirated/shared amongst users. If you feel this is incorrect email support@unbrokensoftware.com with a copy of the license you are using and explain the issue.

I would also check for FLV videos in your media. FLV video files have been known to cause this issue in Attract Mode. Custom themes did not seem to affect it either. There is a long running thread where some users identified this video file type caused their crashes when in Attract Mode. I had the issue as well and removing those videos stopped the crashes.
-
What version are you on? Have not seen any recent reports of this issue and just downloaded a few videos myself. What is the exact issue for you? Single game video download or it will not download for multiple games at once?

is it possible to set up a separate view for playlists?
Retro808 replied to jlister's topic in Troubleshooting
Currently it is not. Separate platform views is available, but as you have seen if you set a playlist to a certain view, the platform resets to that same view and vice versa. -
Different Controllers for different emulators
Retro808 replied to dbringer0's topic in Troubleshooting
LB does not control in game mapping. So you can use which ever controller you want in game as long as you map it directly in the emulator.
