If, after trying the new beta, there's still a feature that you feel like you're missing, please let me know. No guarantees as to what will make it into the next official release, but I do need to know if there's a glaring omission.

1) An optional "append" checkbox for custom command-line parameters in the emulation tab when editing a game entry in your library, so that rather than simply replacing any and all custom command-line parameters that are specified in the emulator entry itself (current functionality) it would add any specified command-line parameters in the game entry to the ones that are in the emulator entry.

2) A %rompath% variable similar to the current %romfile% variable except that it injects only the path to the rom, and doesn't include the file itself.

As far as the community ratings, is the only way to pull the ratings on existing library entries to do a standard metadata rescrape (that's the only way I've seen anyway)? Any chance of a Tools menu option specifically for pulling (and updating) the community ratings for your entire library? I think that'd be pretty useful.

Let me know if you guys run into any further bugs as well. Thanks as always. :)

I haven't had any crashes since beta 6 so fingers crossed, but I'll let you know if that changes.

Ah, so this *is* plugin-related. We'll need to talk to @UnderwoodNC to hopefully get this fixed for the new versions. :)

Is this still an issue?  If so, I'll try to give it a look tomorrow.  Sorry I've been away and haven't seen this, huge work project I'm wrapping up day and night at the moment.

Still hoping for an option/feature where the games list (text mode) in BigBox can stay centered, instead of continuous scrolling at the bottom or top. :)

Thanks for the reminder @bundangdon.

I'm not sure I understand how to filter by community rating?  The most useful functions for me would be to sort via the text grid, or use them to auto-populate a playlist.  Neither seems to be possible at the moment but maybe I'm missing something.

Both of those things are indeed missing. I'll see what I can do.

Edit mode in big box like in launchbox! and a option to ON/OFF this function (to other that don't want to change)

This is probably a very long way off. ;)

No plugins:

version 7.14

Only clicked on a game.

Captura de Tela (35).png

EDIT 1:This happening only when I click in atelier sophie

EDIT 2: problem with Webm video. when I excluded this video, the crash is gone!

This is still a known issue with .webm videos, as discussed further on up the thread. It's rather strange but seems to be related to upgrading the VLC library. Still on my plate.

Hi @UnderwoodNC, thank you so much. Yes, it's still an issue. I know that it's likely caused by a change in the latest betas, but I'm not sure what change. Please let me know if you need anything or figure anything out.

Cool.  One or both would be great, but in the meantime, how do you recommend filtering a list based on community rating?  I'm not sure how to use the filter option you added.

So for the first time ever Launchbox keeps crashing on me. I can't really isolate what causes the crash, seem to be just clicking anything a few times. It's very frequent, has essentially become unasable. Bigbox is not affected

I'm getting the same crash on the latest beta (and only since updating to the latest). Every time I open up LB and then select any game from any platform, LB immediately crashes. If I go into BB, no crashes at all.

Well, as we can see from your post count which, including this colorful one, amounts to a whopping 2 posts, it seems you never bothered to ask anyone on the forums for the slightest bit of help.

I hear Jason was planning to implement telepathic tech support in the next beta, where he can instantly be aware of any issues you're having with his software, all without you saying a word! Too bad you won't be around to see him roll out that new feature

Hahah, that chump just got burned lol.

I am now seeing Black screens during Video Startup on first Attempt in the latest beta.  I am using WMP as my default player.

I am seeing Multiple Instances of the same Game being Launched from the game detail screen.

Random Crashes Navigating the BB UI

I started noticing issues just before Retro Achievements were implemented.

Be honest about it in the first place then ;-)

I cant agree with your statement at all.

The best moment to reveal that my bigbox is actually my smallbox is probably when the lights get turned off. Not at the introduction stage. As an example... just imagine...

I walk into a pub, I see a hot chick standing at the bar. We make eye contact and she smiles and looks away. I walk over to her and say "hey Nan, I don't often see you in these here parts, would you like to see my smallbox".

It just doesn't have have the same ring to it as bigbox. I think my chances of scoring with this chick will be diminished.
