  1. Very cool; been waiting for a playlist video. Thanks for sharing!
  2. Thanks @Lordmonkus. I'm not sure where/how the issue occurred.. I've been using the same collection for quite some time.. it was there, then it wasn't. I'm sure it was something I did at one point but just could not get to the bottom of it. Running an Audit didn't pick anything up and importing the .cue ended up with the same results. Clicking on forcing duplicates ultimately resolved the issue but just find it weird that even thought I deleted the entire collection and re-added it, it still excluded it. Thanks again.
  3. Perhaps a bit of a weird one but something I came across a month or 2 ago and really tying to figure out the issue now... One day, I wanted to load Sonic CD but realized it wasn't in my collection. Not sure why exactly but figured I'd just go ahead and add the game back by dropping the folder containing the .cue and .bin. As expected, i run through the wizard of adding the game but when it completes, it comes back and tells me that "0 games were added". Happens every time.. Is there a detailed log that would tell me why? Any suggestions on where to look to mitigate the issue? So far, it only seems to be in my Sega CD collection. Deleting the entire collection and adding it again does not fix the issue btw...
  4. Sometime in the past perhaps 3-6 months there has been a change with dolphin and the loading of WiiWare (.wad) files. Previously, you could just load the .wad and Dolphin would load the game as normal individual game such as a .wbfs file. Now, it appears that not only do you have to install the .wad to the nand but I'm also not certain on how to actually load the .wad directly rather than going into the Wii menu. Am I going crazy? Has no one else noticed this?

Just left a review and wanted to drop a line to tell you thanks for your hard work. I hope this is something you continue to develop for with other systems and really enjoy the updated look & feel.
The individual system themes really add a nice touch to the overall feel and give a sense of uniqueness to my overall setup. I'm pretty confident these themes will be the default going forward and would love to see more systems supported in the future. Seriously, well done work and thanks for the contribution!
  6. Appreciate getting back to me @NJDave71 I did get some time this evening to play around some more and eventually get this working. I just wish I knew what combo of things I was originally doing wrong to not have it work in the first place but it does seem to work as expected (and hoped). I have noticed however that every MVS based game requires me to manually enable the bezel. This is not a huge issue as I would just need to go through and enable it the first time however, just found it odd. Thanks again.
  7. Didn't see mention of this within the topic, if I overlooked, I apologize and please direct me where appropriate. I'm having a heck of a time trying to get a default vertical and horizontal bezel to be used with Mame. In the past, I would create specifc .ini files for both the horizontal (horizont.ini) and vertical (vertical.ini) based games because I would used specific shaders (HLSL based) based on the orientation. What I suspected would also happen (and believe it should normally do so) is also use same artwork labeled the same (i.e horizont.zip or vertical.zip). Unfortunately, I've only been able to get the bezel artwork to show when I rename horizont.zip to the name of the game being run (i.e. mslug.zip). @NJDave71 has saved us a bit of time by compiling mame with the no nag for us and realized that perhaps I was missing a line in my config regarding the fallback artwork line. Here is the Core Artwork Options section from both .ini files. Horizont.ini # # CORE ARTWORK OPTIONS # artwork_crop 1 use_backdrops 1 use_overlays 1 use_bezels 1 use_cpanels 1 use_marquees 1 fallback_artwork horizont override_artwork Vertical.ini # # CORE ARTWORK OPTIONS # artwork_crop 1 use_backdrops 1 use_overlays 1 use_bezels 1 use_cpanels 1 use_marquees 1 fallback_artwork vertical override_artwork Based on what was mentioned above, is there anything I am overlooking? The artwork created is great but I'm just looking to use a standard horizontal and vertical bezel for Mame. Thoughts? Thanks in advance!
I'm blown away by how smooth this is and all the work put into it. Very little polishing needed at this point and can only imagine where Cid goes from here. This theme recreates the feel of HyperSpin while still giving you the uniqueness of BigBox and I think this should be considered a default theme (as there are many good ones out there) for those starting off with the software. This is now my favorite theme even with it being the initial release!
  8. Top notch work! Seriously, a huge contribution to the community and now my favorite theme. Simply awesome.
  9. "Too many" not "To many". Otherwise, nice.

  11. Looks to be fixed, thank you!
  12. First, I suggest anyone with a previous installation to uninstall and remove any existing configuration files... this will save you some headache. Second: please ,please, please backup your platform xml files. Just create a copy of the directory in case you run into what I did. Image attached is now around the 10th consecutive system I've had to fix with maybe another 20-30 to go. The line number differs from platform to platform but position is the same. I don't fully understand the mechanics behind the platform xml's but assume all had to be added due to the creation of a "cave" platform I tried to import using this release.
    Great work, nice and clean!
Nice addition to LB. Shorter alternative to other intros, well done.
  13. First, what a great program with huge potential. Thank you for contributing as I feel this is likely the easiest method for creating your own game lists. Out of curiosity though, is anyone else experiencing extremely slow responses within LB once you export a list from mamelister into LB? I started today by exporting just a Cave list. Pretty straight forward, unlicked everything within the arcade tab except Cave, went to export, filter, output ("all"), then output to LB. Total list was maybe 81 games I believe (some duplicates) and noticed an immediate performance hit within LB when I tried to view the contents of "Cave". When I switch from one game to another, it would take around 15 seconds to fully load everything within the detail pane (video, details, etc.), yet every other category/system loaded as typical (<1 sec). I tried various combinations within mamelister (un-clicking all notes options, shrinking my games list) and after a number of exports, I observed the same thing. Now during this entire time, my existing arcade list (which was imported via the LB import tool), worked as expected with no issues. I decided to delete the collection and import via the mamelister and as suspected, same results as previous mamelist exports, if not worse. Its almost as if the data being imported is crippling LB and really, making it unplayable. In Big Box the same results can be observed and appears to be the result of data imported though the mamelister. Doesn't seem like anyone else has had this issue so what exactly am I doing wrong? Any suggestions? I am using the latest release of mamelister (RC3). Appreciate any suggestions.
  14. @zombeaver --> Job well done on the video! While I'm sure in part, creating these videos can be fun, I know they can be a daunting task (preparation, content generation, editing, re-editing, etc.). For me, the Amiga platform has never been a great focus and to be honest, I only ever used WinUAE for CD32 emulation and that's it. I think FS-UAE is great and while there are some minor configuration tweaks and tools needed, your video really made the integration into LB quite simple. I think its safe to say for me at least that without the video, I likely wouldn't have bothered adding the collection but will say I've already found a few gems worth playing Glad to have members like you contributing great content like this in the community, thanks!
These are great and a must have for any 4:3 platform (all pre Wii?) Hope to see updates with more platforms and keep up the great work!
Excellent work and great alternative to standard logos. Looking forward to possible update with additional platforms?
  15. Do you have to load the overlay every time you open RetroArch? Doesn't seem to save this by default thus requiring me to tell it what overlay to use.
  16. Hi All, long time no post. W/ the new job and move behind me, I figured I'd try to dabble with the good old LB again. Doing some house cleaning, I noticed that deleting a system (or deleting all the games for a system), doesn't actually remove it from the XML that LB reads. Is there a better way to clear a system or is there a possible feature going forward to clean up the XML for not existing platforms going forward. If its just a matter of manually deleting, thats fine but I believe in the work smarter, not harder bit. What is everyone's suggestion for XML editors btw? I think I've used Notepad ++ in the past.. Thanks
  17. fromlostdays Good suggestion. Turned "Configuration per core" off, same thing. As a cheap, inefficient fix (which I am not proud of) -created a duplicate but stripped down retroarch folder (just the bare min) and named it Retroarch-alt -added a new emulator in LB, called Retroarch-alt which referenced the new duplicated folder above -Did a bulk edit on my GBC collection and told it to use the new emulator. Final result - All but my GBC collection use my default retroarch folder (so GB is set up to use the dmg-shader-4x.cgp) and GBC has its own install folder which uses the gbc-shader-4x.cgp shader. GB loads with a GB filter and GB image GBC loads with a GBC filter and GBC image ALSO, anyone having issues running the GB or GB Pocket filters, there was a brief number of nightly builds that had issues running these filters (as explained earlier) and go figure, I was using one of them! The latest nightly (I am using 2-2-16) appears to have fixed the unusual scaling issue I mentioned reference --> http://libretro.com/forums/showthread.php?t=4954 Again, I know I only seem to post here when I have issues, hope to contribute back more in the future but appreciate those who chime in for suggestions/feedback.
  18. So, I'd love to hear some feedback on this as I am clearly stumped. Scenario: 2 platforms, one core: Game boy and Game boy Color. Both platforms use the same core (Gambatte) but the reason for different configurations is the overlay being used. I'm not sure if anyone else has been having issues with the latest night build (based off of retroarch 1.3) but for whatever reason, any game boy (original) shader pack seems to cause me issues (scaling). Retroarch comes with some awesome shaders. Specifically, what I have been using can be found under Shaders --> Shaders_cg--> handheld--> console-border--> Gameboy color: gbc-4x.cgp Gameboy Advance: gba-4x.cgp Gameboy: Is actually a modification of the gbc-4x.cgp above, with the gameboy pocket image in place of the gameboy color. Again, its the only shader pack I can get to scale properly. Again if I had my way, I'd try to use the default greenish shader pack to get the original gameboy feel but for the life of me, it seems to be plagued in this version and I cannot get it to scale properly, but I digress. My Gameboy command line is: -L "cores\gambatte_libretro.dll" -c config/GB_libretro.cfg My Gameboy color command line is: -L "cores\gambatte_libretro.dll" -c config/GBC_libretro.cfg These configuration should be identical with the exception of the shader pack being used. For whatever reason it seems to load the configuration but it does not differentiate between the shader packs. What I noticed is that if I delete the gambatte_libretro.dll configuration (since I assumed I am not referencing it), it gets recreated and whatever changes I make within the loaded configuration, it applies it across the board meaning all 3 configurations?! So what this means is if I load gameboy game, then go to quick settings --> shader options and choose a shader, it applies to all 3 configuration files 3) Above shows that all 3 get edited... I fully understand this is a LB forum but for those who may have seen this in the pass and are retroarch experts, can you enlighten me of exactly what I am doing incorrectly? Thanks!
  19. Just wanted to make sure this was marked as "solved". Part of the problem is for whatever reason, I though it was smart to put each rom in their individual folder. In doing so, the file names that were absurdly long initially was almost doubled. Previously in the post, I had only indicated the FOLDER, not the file within the folder so the file name actually looked like this... D:\LaunchBox\Roms\Nintendo - Game Boy Advance\3 Games in 1 - Rugrats - I Gotta Go Party + SpongeBob SquarePants - SuperSponge + Tak and the Power of Juju (Europe) (En+En+En,Fr,De)\3 Games in 1 - Rugrats - I Gotta Go Party + SpongeBob SquarePants - SuperSponge + Tak and the Power of Juju (Europe) (En+En+En,Fr,De).gba WOW... I have since unzipped all .gba files the to the Game Boy Advance folder r instead and problem solved. Obviously part Windows limitation, part user error :) Thanks for the feedback guys.
