  1. wow, that's awesome. I never knew about this. I don't need it yet (RL keymapping takes care of that for me) but it's nice to know that it is there.
  2. This is a nice set of bordered platform and playlist logos, if you like that style.
  3. True on the arcade front for sure.
  4. yeah good point. I think for most people though they will probably just be running the major consoles and stuff, which RL can pretty much handle.
  5. You might get it to show up if you go into bigbox options and then images i think,...then refresh images.
  6. I guess you'd sort of have to remember which computer you saved most recently at so that you don't sync from the older version onto the newer version. It would be nice if you could tell it that the retroarch folder is the root folder to start it's path from.
  7. I do think full on daylight mode is a bit distracting but What about just a half-day mode? Or,..evening mode? lol. I like the night mode, but i find myself trying so hard to try to see some of the surrounding details but it is just too dark to make much out.
  8. That looks so damn distracting. I don't really get it.
  9. Oh oh, if you use photoshop you could (and should) have a cart layer, and then you could create a macro that records you insterting and placing a cart from a directory and then opening the save as dialog box. I did something similar to help me quickly place what I opened and then bring up the save as box when I was making a mame wheel set back in the hyperspin days. Made pretty quick work of it. If you'd like some help I'd be happy to see if I could get it going using that method.
  10. I would be curious if there are any sort of standard sizes to fit in say, a recroommasters cab?
  11. Any chance you could do a run with the top and bottom bezel tv border just a tad farther into the picture? It's such a sliver that it sort of looks "off" proportionally with the the rest of the bezel border. I like these a lot, but visually I want to see just a little bit more of that sliver slide on into the picture.
  12. Yeah doing it now. Working good.
  13. I'm having an issue where Nintendo Game Boy (as scraped by launchbox) isn't even in my retroarch associated platforms list TO check the box to make it a default emulator. It only shows Game boy advance, game boy color, game cube, and virtual boy. I'm using the gear boy core and have everything working in retroarch outside of launchbox. I don't understand why launchbox doesn't show Nintendo Game Boy in the list of associated platforms? EDIT: Just found out by accident that you could double-click the bottom cell to add a new entry into the associated platforms list. Would have been nice to have some tiny text somewhere that said you could do that.
  14. Oh, ouch. That doesn't sound like fun. In RL you can just put whatever fade image you want in the game's folder and it shows up. So maybe if someone made a theme that looks for fanart? Then you could put the fades you already have in that folder.
  15. I have no idea how to do it. But I would hope you could merely drag some images over to somewhere.
  16. I bet there would be a way to figure out which bios' were associated with which roms, and launchbox could tell you that if you delete that bios the following roms will no longer work. I know it took me hours with like 3 different utilities in order to finally delete the mame stuff I would never use. That's part of the reason I haven't updated since then lol. I really never want to have to do all that crap again. But if launchbox could use it's already filtered list of games to prompt you to delete whatever isn't in your library then it could make quick work of it I would think.
  17. I feel like eventually it will be one of the only things left to tackle. Same for me. I have a lot of PC games, and some old DOS platformers that I like to use a controller with, so I need to be able to have joy2key launched when that game is started. But it needs to be database driven so the frontend (or in my case Rocketlauncher) tells the keymapper which profile to launch depending on the game name. There are surprisingly also a lot of modern PC games that wig out because I have so many controllers plugged into my computer, so they don't "see" the xbox controller as being the player 1 controller that it would otherwise with nothing else plugged in. Like in broforce for example, it thinks one of my 4 gamecube controllers plugged into the mayflash adapter is the default windows player 1 controller, and there is no way to manually set it to something else within the game. So I have a keymapper profile for that that is binded to the controller I want.
  18. ohhh having pause on a remote might be really cool. It would also be cool if it mirrored what you were doing on the app onto your screen.
  19. Yup. I need good keymapping and pause also though too, so it's just a waiting game at this point. It'll get there someday I'm sure. Eventually there will be time to focus on it.
  20. I can't figure out how to get the text to go back to just plain flat setting. It says there is no text warp on it, So I can't seem to find how it's got the curve on it.
  21. I can't drop it because of amazing bezel implementation, superior pause menu, and perfect keymapping setup. I don't use the .lay bezels in mame, but a really awesome set made by metalzoic for RL, and it looks amazing. I only use retroarch for like 5 systems, so for the rest, in order to have a uniform look I have to have rocketlauncher put bezels over mednafen and other stuff.
  22. Yeah I still have to hang on to Rocketlauncher because of the Bezels that I use on systems I don't use Retroarch with. I love my collection of bezels, and since I only use Retroarch for handhelds and a few other systems, I have a lot of bezels that are used for other systems through RL. Launchbox has pretty good fade screens I've seen, but since I already have a crapload, and some really cool game specific ones in RL, I still use RL for fades, and it handles fades over PC games very well. Rocketlauncher's PAUSE screen is still the best I've ever used. Mostly because you can program the keypresses for the emulator's save and load state slots, and it does a great job of sending those keypresses for you. It also takes a screenshot for each slot and displays it when you select the slot, so you can see where you were when you saved it. You can also easily look at the manual from the pause screen there, just have to have the pdf in the right folder under the right system. Lastly, the keymapping function. A godsend for my old ms-dos platformers (keen, cosmo, bio menace, etc.). Point RL to the joy2key.exe, and then from within the keymapper tab you can add a new profile, click on the game from the list, and then it opens joy2key for you so you can map the controls right then and there; save the profile and close joy2key, and the entry is now in RL for that specific game. You can also do platform specific keymapping so for example, on other emulators that I use an original controller on, I can still have a global keymap for that platform that says if I hold the select button down for like 700ms, then it will hit the esc key, so I can exit the emulator without having to reach over to the keyboard. i feel that these three things are really the final frontier of having a complete front end experience. Someday launchbox will have it all covered, I'm confident. But as of right now, Rocketlauncher has it covered better and more completely.
  23. I put this in the running autohotkey section. Worked great. Thanks. Now if we can just get a keymapper launcher per platform or per-game, then I won't have to have the keyboard here just to exit cemu. But at least it works for now.
  24. If you can do even basic photoshop, you can make your own really easy in the crylen's template I put up here: Crylen's bordered logo + psd
  25. yeah maybe a link to the whole pack. Great work.
