  1. I have been using the mayflash adapter for years now. No troubles at all. http://www.mayflash.com/Products/PCUSB/PC039.html
  2. l just updated to the current build of dolphin and no noticeable problems. I honestly just plugged the bar in and set it to the right mode for wiimotes and haven't even looked to change anything. It's just worked as far as I could feel.
  3. Yeah they don't take much space up. especially if you can cut something out similar to this 4 holed thing I found:
  4. i can say that the mayflash dolphin bar with real wiimotes works perfectly. It's great.
  5. ohhh this is pretty exciting. would love to see a screenshot of that in action.
  6. Kiosk mode that asks for the pin.
  7. does that do per system? or per game though? I think that may be where the distinction lies. edit: I guess per system could be per program. But then, what if you have to use multiple emulator programs for specific games. That's where per-game might come in handy.
  8. It's just knowing what to do that's all. My buddy is scared to change the oil in his car, just because he's never done it before. Even on his BMW it's one of the simplest things to do yourself. I keep telling him I'll show him, just bring it over. Takes half an hour. Same thing here. It's really not hard to do the keymapping at all, once you know the steps.
  9. Yup. the keymapping is a killer feature, per system and per game.
  10. I've always had to manually add my made up system names (SNES homebrew, NES homebrew, Arcade Hacks, etc.) into the rocketlauncher modules where they ask for an msystem= or something like that. This is also why I don't update RL very often, because then it overwrites all the modules that i've done that too. I've heard about scrape as, or something like that before, but can't remember if there is actually a method that works. Would be interesting to find out.
  11. I have used a program called AntRenamer, that I used to basically do the same thing. String deletion from front and back, but also replace with options, and other stuff. It runs very quickly as well.
  12. Wow, that is good news. The only thing left after that, would be the keymapping feature that RL has, which loads profiles (joy2key) per-game. Then RL would be close to obsolete.
  13. Hard to take pics of them at an arcade, because you really need them to be by themselves, isolated. If it's a working arcade, they'll usually be too close to other machines for that.
  14. Button presses have never stopped a video for me. But the video does cut itself off if it runs past the point when BB would have regularly loaded without a video. But shouldn't it let the video finish playing even if BB is loaded underneath?
  15. That's really weird. No ideas on that. But i'll add to this, that my startup vids still do not stop when I press a key, and If they run longer than it normally takes for my launchbox to start, then the video cuts off at that time, and starts launchbox. So luckily I have found a video that is almost the exact time it takes to start launchbox, so there is no cutting off. But sometimes I'd like to press a key and just get to launchbox, but I guess it doesn't matter if launchbox still hasn't even loaded underneath it.
  16. I got a hbmame set and added the games under my "Arcade Hacks" platform. There are some fun variations of the pac-man/ms. pac man games. There is a ms. pacman 25 diff. maze version, which is fun. There are some wonky parts of the maze, almost as if some of the original maze walls couldn't be deleted and are in black space. But for the most part, it's pretty fun. I also like the pacman renaissance games.
  17. Launchbox Won! Sweet.
  18. Voted! We all should be doing this, just to show up HS.
  19. I can't wait for a day when the emulators are able to automatically swap the discs when the time comes, in game.
  20. I know it might be inconsistent to have arcade cabs facing different ways sometimes, but given the lack of full cabinet photographs, i'd be more than happy to deal with different facing artwork. I've always thought that themes should have the arcade cab there to show what it really looked like.
  21. I actually preferred to move my box art, carts, and wheels over from hyperspin because of their high quality sets there. Just have to find the corresponding folder, and launchbox should be able to match them to the roms. In some cases I had to tweak a name here or there, to match launchbox, but nothing too bad. Just take a look around the folder structure and i'm sure you'll pick up on where things need to be.
  22. Awesome! Do you have a list of the movies you took those clips from?
  23. I'd suggest using mednafen. I've never had a problem with input detection using that. It's always been a breeze, and you can assign on the fly in-game as well.
  24. id like to be able to have a platform be a link to all your playlists.
  25. I ended up going back to metalzoic's RL universal bezel packs. Those realistic ones were very cool, but I started to get annoyed at the amount of screen glare and scratches. Sometimes the reflections in the screen glare were so light and bright that it began to overshadow the game. It ended up feeling not that realistic with that aspect, since most screen glare is very subdued in a dark arcade with crt light and very dark blacks. Those screen glare layers were taken in a brightly lit room with the "screen" turned off. So the glare is amplified under that setting. the other thing I ended up not liking was the very small gameplay screen area that is used in order to accommodate most of the cabinet and bordering cabinet with background stuff. With the RL packs, the gameplay area is maximized.
