  1. Yup. per game is one of the best ones for me. Especially with PC games, or dos games. Before i struggled having xpadder or joy2key only being able to load profiles based on whenever the program .exe was launched. Well, that leaves out a lot, since each game might need different controls.
  2. Really cool idea. But I love seeing Vikings cool platform vids play. Was thinking, what if B.B. Could show the systems box artwork off to the side or bottom somewhere sort of like it shows the box for each game? Then we could have our vids and get to see what that systems box/boxes looked like. As important as having game boxes I'd say.

  4. I've only ever used RL for having default horizontal and vertical bezels, that are included in the unified pack. I saw the realistic defaults, but they are small screen ones like we've been talking about. If having the maximum game screen size is very important I think this pack is the only way to go.
  5. I would suggest the pack for RL simply because it maximizes the game screen, and the other bezels make it pretty small.
  6. Are you sure you got the mame bezels that have .lay files in the zip? Or did you get the unified bezel pack that metalzoic compiled for rocketlauncher?
  7. Something to do with how windows detects controllers. Like, it can't just remember which one was in which spot, unless it stays plugged in all the time. The actual reason is more technical than that, but that's what's I remember reading.
  8. I'd like that except I'd want the disc to already be in the case And then come out. There were some themes on hyperspin years ago, that slid the cartridge down from the top and it went into an image of the console, so it looked like it was being put in and turned on. This would be a big step towards the seamless effect. But this also will be a crapload of work as Jason has said before, and sort of going into rocketlauncher features that are complicated to make happen. I'd love this though, it would really add to the experience
  9. I know you said you don't plan on a lobby system for launchbox users, but oh man that would be cool! See who's on launchbox right now and play something with them!
  10. Now I would like good 3D art of all the arcade cabinets to rotate. That would be fun.
  11. I actually dislike the way the 3D boxes look currently. It just never looks really correct. There's some aspect of it that always feels skewed a bit. I like having regular 2d boxes just front and back. But it's a great effort nonetheless.
  12. I like having full collections just because it's fun to say you have every single game made for a system, especially when someone says, "do you have THIS game?" Yes every single one! Lol. But it does really get old going through them all. I'd like to get it down to exclusives to that system/best versions only. But it's a lot of work. And a lot of the lists out there have people arguing about which ones were really exclusive, and adding new stuff all the time.
  13. Yeah, so now your systems should populate in rocketlauncher, and you can set up the emulators for each one in there and test out game-launching outside of your front end to make sure it is all good to go.
  14. Yeah I notice that it is sort of hard to remember which button number corresponds to which controllers button for that, because like the Select button on the SNES controller, might not be the same button number as the back button on the xbox360 controller.

  16. Maybe try to collaborate more with the RL team. It could develop into a great working relationship. I actually haven't updated my modules in like 2 years, but update my emulators all the time. Everything still works great. Maybe I'm just lucky that the features still apply themselves well using modules that old on newer emulators. Isnt it all just a bunch of script stuff in there? It seems like a master Carr could take one look at any of the modules and go "oh yeah I see what you did there". ?
  17. Well just less clutter really. There's only a handful of features holding me there. Integration would just mean more streamlined installation with less clutter around. All inclusive one stop shopping if you will. the less I have to go back and forth all the time the better. Once I add a pc game in LB I then have to go over to RL and set it up. Would just be nicer to have it all here. In my mind it's a natural evolution towards being the best front end, period.

  20. I've never voted on a poll, but I would if I knew all the core features of RL were going to Be on there.
  21. Same for me @Chris Kant. Hell id even pay for a bonus premium license if it would aid in the quest for total FE domination. The last step is to get those features into bigbox.
  22. Yes I've had to do that before for a few games. Copy and paste the rom file, then rename it to the version inside that you want.
  23. I actually didn't have it happen very often on way early builds. But more on recent builds, so who knows.
  24. That's a good workaround, but I feel like at this stage in the game, a front end as good as launchbox should just get its focus back without having to use a workaround. I'm using RL as well so maybe they are having a hard time communicating to each other and that might need some more attention
