  1. Woah, I have to try that. I almost had a heart attack when my kid unplugged my gamecube 4 controller adapter to use for his switch. I said "you didn't turn the computer on while it was disconnected did you!!@@@???" Lol. Luckily he didn't, so I could plug it back in and everything was fine. But man, it's annoying to always worry about stuff like that because windows won't let you assign stuff.
  2. I guess I'm confused by what was said. They made it sound like there was no graphical representation to note that a save state has been filled. Such as save state 1 now being bold and bright instead of dim when it's empty. Is there a tutorial video yet, or is it too recent? I dont ever really go dive in until I've seen it in action so I have no idea what it even looks like yet.
  3. Can you turn on and off game startup screens per platform? I only really need to use it for dolphin at this point.
  4. Wait a second, you mean to tell me launchbox doesn't show you whether or not there is a save game in the save slot you have selected under the pause screen?
  5. i'd just love a straight start up vid that is just the back to bigbox logo coming into the screen.
  6. I've heard of altavista.
  7. damn, that really is the perfect example of why we need controller specific mappings for lb/bb. I have SNES, Gamecube, Xbox360, and Playstation controllers all hooked up. i have to press all the buttons to figure out which one happens to be start or exit between all the different controllers. A pain for sure.

    HS/LB

For sure, launchbox is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay easier to setup. So much more streamlined. The themes are kind of fun for hyperspin, but it lacks so much that it doesn't matter to me. I kept rocketlauncher because it still has platform and game specific joy2key keymapper, and bezels, which I spent so much time setting up and worked great so I kept it. You can't even navigate hyperspin with a joystick because of a bug that has been there since 2013. It's basically dead for all intents and purposes.
  9. A. does the cart change depending on the game? I know you can do game specific in rocketlauncher bezels, not sure about retroarch. B. Love this style! hope you cover more systems.
  10. maybe they mean shmup?
  11. it looks amazing, but I want to keep my back cover box art after taking all this time to collect it. Maybe someday you can get it to only pick the front box art for both.
  12. There are some great playlists out there. I have some top 100/50 of a bunch of genres (fighting, beat em up, shoot em up, etc.) and then a golden age playlist, and actually some playlists that mimic physical arcade locations so it's like going through what they have there which is sort of fun. I'd be happy to share any or all of them along with their clear logos.
  13. Oh didn't know that. I suppose because every time i added a platform I was of course adding RL as the emulator, so I associated it with the overall scheme of things.
  14. Once you start fresh with lunchbox selected as your plugin in rocket launcher, you have to to back to launch box and tell every platform to use rocketlauncher as the emulator, should be in the emulator drop down box now. Then they should show up in rocketlauncher. But you would still have to configure the emulators and everything else in rocketlauncher.
  15. This is definitely something that should be a bitbucket issue and hopefully get into an update someday. I have snes, gamecube, playstation, and xbox360 controllers. I just have to try to remember which ones have certain buttons that land on a different button than the other ones. Usually end up pressing every button until I come across the one for launching the game. which usually means that I hit the change views button along the way and have to set that back and remember not to hit that the next time around.
  16. even if you have to buy an emumovies lifetime,...these two products are just amazing in conjunction with one another. Worth the money, and then some!
  17. I really don't know exactly how they get it to work, even with RA, all I know is I type that stuff in, and then it works.
  18. This is especially useful for all the different arcade games with unique buttons. Come to think of it, it would probably be just as useful for consoles if someone were to go into the game's manual and then make an image with what each button did like your example.
  19. Hopefully they can figure out how to send ahk key presses to the emulator. That's all that rocketlauncher does. There is a setup screen for your specific emulator and you just type in what the key presses are for save and load. Example: {F5}{down}{F5}{up}{1}{down}{1}{up}. That sends a press of F5, and then when the emulator wants the slot number to save, it then sends a 1 keypress for that. you can set the delay to be whatever you want in milliseconds, so there's enough of a pause in between the keypresses, and then bam, you see everything flash on the screen as if you had pressed the keys yourself, and your save goes through.
  20. hmmm interesting. I wish Windows would just show you a list of what usb ports you have (numbered), and then let you confirm which controller is plugged in, and then lock that name to that port until you wanted to change it. That way you could lock it to a usb dongle so windows wouldn't shuffle everything just because it got an on or off signal.
  21. I'm still trying to get someone with one of the 8bitdo bluetooth controllers to tell me if they re-arrange the order of wired controllers when turned on and off, or if the dongle keeps it's slot occupied even when the controller is turned off. I'd love to get one, but I don't want to loose every mapping of the other controllers as soon as I turn it off and back on.
  22. Yeah, not sure if there's anything more you can do as far as optimizing. I guess that might be one thing HS still has over LB. How are you liking it though so far?
  23. One of the coolest things for me is the fact that we all are collectively preserving video game history on each of our setups. It's a big problem for preservationists in general, and seems to be overlooked mostly. I like the feeling of being a part of something that is helping to save these cultural artifacts in some form or another.
  24. I used this for my startup video: http://www.a4video.com/volume-normalizer-master.htm It was insane how much louder the startup video was than my bigbox.
  25. Heyyyy welcome! Haven't seen that name in ages. I think I have a start up video that lasts about 15 seconds maybe, and somehow it's perfectly timed for when bigbox starts up. I don't even have close to that amount though. That's frickin' huge. I think there is a cache setting you can adjust, but I'm not sure what it was. Someone else probably knows more.
