  1. Love this! Like the organisation with the different regions as playlists, the proper names of the platforms for each region, the different clear logos for the different regions and the small region flags. Nice!
  2. But that's what the bezels around the game screen can do....fill the rest of your monitor real estate.
  3. Thanks man. Great bezels. 2 suggestions, don't know if you've had these before. First, the game screen tends to be stretched slightly too much so that parts are not viewable - for example, in your screenshot above for "Ashura Blaster" you can see that the text at the top is stretched slightly off the screen. Personally I prefer to have every pixel of the game screen viewable, but maybe this was a personal choice you made. Second, I find the reflections of the other arcade machines a bit intrusive and wonder if this can be toned down somewhat. For example, in the Afterburner screenshot above they are clearly visible and I find this a little distracting. I understand that this is all personal preference though and that the user can edit the stretch settings and if they want to, the bezels themselves! As an aside, these are similar to the bezels I have made, which in turn are toned-down versions of Orionsangel's bezels. I took his, darkened the arcade machines at the sides, darkened the bezel a little bit and reduced the screen scratches/glare effect by about 40%. You can find those here (I've released 3 packs of them): I've since started adding gaussian blur to the machines at the sides as this makes the main artwork pop even more. Your bezels seem to be a bit closer cropped in than Orionsangel's if I'm correct?
  4. Mind posting your HLSL settings so we can try to get the screens looking just like yours?
  5. Can it be custom gallery per platform? For example, for SNES the user might want items w,x, y and z, but for MSDOS they might want u, v, w, x and y.
  6. Clean, system-specific design, I like it!
  7. These look excellent Robin. I wonder if the spines could do with being a bit more reflection or something - they look quite angular and sharp compared to the rest of the artwork.
  8. Nice discs! Did you use any Photoshop action or anything to edit these? I'm going through some discs and the inner and outer edges tend to need cleaned up (generally the edges cropped off), but doing that manually for each disc is taking too long

  11. Is this app still undergoing development? No posts in over 6 months. Would really like to have something like this app to help with sorting the media.
  12. These look awesome, great work! Were there many that you couldn't find cover art for?
  13. You should link in with @phweda who is working on videos for the eXoDOS collection.
  14. Thanks @CMOSS. From your zip, it looks like those are mainly disk boxes? Are you working on boxes for those rather than tapes? I am still looking for good Photoshop templates for both double cassette and disk boxes.
  15. OK - I have an example of the 3D boxes that are generated on the Screen Scraper site: As you can see, they are "correct" in that they use the original scanned front cover and spine. The quality of the original artwork used looks reasonable. The box template is however inferior to the one we have been using here (as posted at the start of this thread). Also, the spine appears to be the wrong way round (though this example uses disk artwork which they have put into a cassette template). Furthermore, I think this is an automated process, so the many "double" cases will be squeezed into the same template. So I think to get a better quality result, I would plan to continue with this project. It may be worth exploring with the Screen Scraper site mods whether they would consider using a better template than the one they have.
  16. @CMOSS - how are you getting on with Skraper in terms of the media? I've signed up for it also and am going to investigate. They do seem to have a good amount of media, including the front & spine images for many of the boxes. I have yet to see their full size 3D boxes. It seems that these are auto-generated by the site from the front & spine images. I wonder if they might be able to use a better template - perhaps ours or something similar to improve the quality of the 3D boxes.

  18. This one maybe? https://www.turbosquid.com/3d-models/3d-dvd-box-case-model/780529
  19. @Zombeaver - you may well have come across this already, but FYI; there is a collection on PD called "Ultimate_Tape_Archive_V1.0". This contains 473 C64 games which have been curated to include proper titles, year & publisher and to include game, cassette, inlay and inlay_back scans. You're probably aware of it but if not I thought it might help you with your project.
  20. Lol....that's a coincidence if there ever was one! As it happens I haven't played that game, but I believe that it is based on Umberto Eco's book The Name of the Rose which I have read though found a little hard going!
  21. These look great! Will try them out tonight. What's the running total so far, and are you planning to do them all?
  22. Great, thanks! Let me know what you think about how to collaborate on the shared spreadsheet too.
