"Extract ROM archives before running" must be checked on the emulator's details for Launchbox to be able to send it correctly to the emulator.

Nice topic to link people when they ask for MAME Sets links. Another similar way to find MAME sets is by searching "Roms Megathread". On the Retro tab you can find MAME Sets and other retro stuff. Be wary though, those sets might not be up to date.

What games exactly are we talking about?

You have to point to the game's EBOOT.BIN executable for Launchbox to be able to launch that PSN game. Right click on the game's icon on RPCS3 after you installed the pkg and click on "OPEN INSTALL FOLDER", the EBOOT.BIN is inside the USRDIR folder (drag and drop it into Launchbox).

The controller numbers are assigned by Windows as they get connected. I don't think it's a dongle problem. You can see which player is which by looking at the Xbox button's light on the controller itself.

The easiest solution is to delete everything you downloaded so far and redownload it as chd, there's a pack with that format in the same place you downloaded those gz.

Looks like an admin rights issue to me. Make sure LaunchBox, BigBox and the other programs are NOT running as an administrator.

Disable the startup theme on BigBox's options, see if that's the problem. If that the case you'll have to fiddle with the emulator's startup settings (on LaunchBox).

The new default details panel looks awesome and LaunchBox loads much faster now, best update in a while!

Go to PCSX2's menu -> CDVD and select ISO. Also update your emulator to latest (nightly) version.

In my experience, it works just fine on most of the games I converted to iso, mounted and launched the folder/eboot.bin. There are a only a few games that work when launched normally but don't work or get stuck on an infinite loading screen when launched from an iso mounted on a virtual drive, examples of games with that issue are 3D Dot Game Heroes and Persona 5.

Make sure Launchbox it's not running as an administrator, restart LB to be sure.

On my end and for some reason I can't figure out, 3D Dot Game doesn't work at all when you mount the iso and launch it from there ( iso created with PS3 iso Rebuilder with all files matching CRC). Doesn't matter if I use Launchbox with this script or launch it manually from rpcs3. Same with other popular games like Persona 5 and The Last of Us.

Gz is trash, convert your isos to chd.

I mostly use RocketLauncher for adding bezels to Gamecube games running on Dolphin (Resident Evil 2 and 3 with HD textures and other 4:3 only games) and also for old pc games that have very poor or no gamepad support (Manhunt, Prince of Persia trilogy, Call of Duty: Black Ops, Assassin's Creed, etc). Since I have RL running just fine and don't even mess with it that much I don't feel to need to eliminate it.

You can add more genres to your games if you want (IE, adding "Boxing" or "Shoot' em up"). The only caveat is that they'll go away if you update the games' metadata using LaunchBox's Metadata.

I just got this on my LaunchBox a few days ago and also noticed that it doesn't have a fullscreen option other than Alt+Enter.
