Aww damn why did the music stop when you got to that last step? This almost makes me want to re-install LB just to go through this lol. Super cool.

I still have this problem. Over a year now, through all different versions of lb/bb. I use RL as well. Funny thing is, it happens intermittently. Every once in a while BB gets focus back like it should. But More often than not, I still have to alt+tab back to get BB in focus. @Jason Carr any ideas?

To use different game pad profiles before launch? Or different gamepads for the emulator. If emulator you just have to set those up in the actual emulator program. If profiles, that could be done in RL on a per system and per game basis with the keymapping function.

Have you set launchbox as the default or active frontend in RL? -
I was also wondering what they meant by plugins. I'm pretty sure it's only the front end plugin stuff like you said.

This also has a lot to do with retro gaming, so old school is sort of the idea here. I use joy2key the most for my ms-dos games which usually need different keymapping for each game. It's easy and straightforward to make the profiles, and it works. I spent hours with xpadder and it was just wonky, and could only load a profile based on what current .exe was running. So RL with joy2key just works for me.

hmmm i've never had to do anything related to playlists because in launchbox the playlist is derived from the "master" platform. So it's just pulling from that platform, which is already in RL. Everything I have works when in playlists already.

Yup, enable keymapping, point it to joy2key. Use the built-in feature on the keymapper tab for your system, and get nice per-game profiles without much fuss. I think a lot of the confusion with RL is just not knowing about it, and how to navigate it. Which is natural. But once you either figure it out, or are shown, it's not that bad. I just helped someone on this forum set up their mame with the nice unified bezel pack for RL in like 20 minutes or so. Then once they watched, it was like, oh yeah nice, that wasn't hard at all.

there's got to be someone out there with an 8bitdo and some wired controllers who can test out what happens on 8bitdo shutdown and startup with the wired joysticks. I guess it's cheap enough i could just get it myself, but then if it ruins the joyid crap then it will be useless.

weird. assigned walk to a button, and again 2tap2run doesn't work, hold2run doesn't work. Still no running i guess.

I would guess there's a full screen setting in the module settings tab.

yeah, i was able to select my gamecube controller from the list, and map everything. I tried mapping walk to d-pad left right, analog left right, and nothing. No matter what i map the walk to none of the options (2tap2run,hold2run, etc.) work. It's always on walk.

Does anyone have the walk/run working in super smash bros. crusade? no matter what options I turn on for the feature, I'm always walking.

This has been happening for me intermittently for several versions. It's super weird. And the select sound also echoes during it, as ignorant there's another phantom press happening.

Just wait until the 12 days of PD Christmas promotion where I think your download ratio isn't counted and your upload is doubled or tripled sometimes. That's the only way I was ever able to get all of the sets I needed way back when.

I'm only afraid to update because of the renaming you have to do in the module Ini files for systems that aren't standard names (NES homebrew) so they will still launch. Once you update it writes over those and doesn't have all the names you put in previously, so you have to manually add them all back. I'd still need fade to cover up emulator loading, and the great keymapping part of RL before I completely ditched it. But pause would be a great and huge step for a front end; to have that functionality built in. -

Seems like if launchbox can find any game with a certain name across all platforms and make a playlist out of that, surely it can find what other platforms a game is on and then let you launch it? -

How are people handling different controllers in BigBox?

This feels like an identical issue I saw a while back. Is also Enjoy it if we could map specific buttons for EACH individual controller plugged in to specific functions instead of just "button1, button 2, etc." because those buttons are different across several controller styles(SNES vs xbox360) it gets hard to remember which button does what for select game for instance. Could be start on the snes, but R3 on xbox360.
