  1. I've played some of those that don't officially support save states in MAME, but then they also work most of the time anyways. I think it's more of a "not completely 100% working in some cases, but usually does so we need to have a disclaimer" type of things. You are doing this all on your own? I remember when Jason said this couldn't really be done without insanity inducing difficulty, so he wouldn't really go down that path. But you seem to be doing quite well lol.
  2. I just started bigbox today, and all of the sudden there is a playlist titled "arcade playlist" that I never created. It doesn't exist in the playlist view of launchbox, so I can't delete it, and I don't see it in the playlist folder. Has this ever happened to anyone? Suggestions?
  3. Does the save/load slot expand to the right to show the available slots to select?
  4. Someday emulators will auto disc change. Someday...
  5. So in a pbp, what happens when the game gets to a change disc screen? Just curious. @mcos87 You should throw your set up on dome.
  6. heh, yeah! from the thriftstore. 20 bucks!
  7. Yeah I ended up finding that metaljesus video later on that day and watched it at work. Pretty cool! I snagged a sega cart last night and tested it and that part worked. Now I just need a sega cd game to test. Maybe someday I'll test the MegaLD.
  8. Found some youtube videos on it. Apparently it's extremely rare. Plays genesis games, sega cd, and the mega ld games of which there were a few. Pretty cool.
  9. Just walked over to a thrift store across from my work and found this weird creature. I had no idea this ever existed. Anybody ever play one?
  10. If you use rocketlauncher it looks like you can put controller configuration images in the Pause menu. http://www.rlauncher.com/wiki/index.php?title=Pause_Controller_Menu
  11. Of course I'm using rocketlauncher, so this would only apply to those people. But I got this module and put it in the module folder, and everything works perfectly. http://www.rlauncher.com/forum/showthread.php?5575-Redream-quot-Sega-Dreamcast-Emulator-quot/page4
  12. What about for non-retroarch users?
  13. Oh yeah I guess I forgot to mention I don't have any special settings or artwork in my pause menu just yet. But as you can see, it can be customized quite a bit in that sense. The nice thing about the savestates and loadstates is that once you program all the key presses into RL, then those slots in the PAUSE menu send those commands and do it, so you don't have to try to remember it for each emulator anymore.
  14. It looks are pretty simple. Just a menu bar thing and some statistics. I only use it for save and load states (you have to program those into the autohotkey thing that RL has), and manual viewing.
  15. Just replicate the RL pause menu and I'll be happy. Love that thing.
  16. What if people don't really know about a feature, but it could still prove very valuable or fun. I would blend a straight voting system with stuff that is obviously cool and/or important. But hey, eventually most things do get in there, so i'm not too worried about it.
  17. There should be an option in bigbox to assign the spin to a random game to a button combo on any controller.
  18. Well I have never used a frontend keymapper profile using joy2key through rocketlauncher since BigBox can use any of my controllers plugged in to navigate with. What if you just mapped the controls in bigbox for a controller, and then delete your frontend profile in rocketlauncher?
  19. I used a few tools as well from the hyperspin days. don's list thing to get all the weird crap out, then some program that looked for the files that matched that xml in my mame directory and copied them out into another folder. Then i could delete everything (minus the bios stuff) that didn't get copied (didn't match the xml) and then re-copy the small set back into the mame directory. It was a merged set too, and haven't run into any troubles in I think 3 years now. But yeah, it definitely is a process. They really should break out all the mahjong, casino, etc., out into it's own set from the beginning.
  20. IT will be so nice when we can just drop these into a folder here in launchbox and it will work. I like the simplicity here. Might switch mine to these in RL.
  21. Oh wow never thought of that. That needs to be a top feature for sure. Especially when starting a game for the first time it can be a bit laggy while everything gets going. Being able to set a "block key press for x seconds after launch" would be great.
  22. I have been using the mayflash adapter for years now. No troubles at all. http://www.mayflash.com/Products/PCUSB/PC039.html
  23. l just updated to the current build of dolphin and no noticeable problems. I honestly just plugged the bar in and set it to the right mode for wiimotes and haven't even looked to change anything. It's just worked as far as I could feel.
  24. Yeah they don't take much space up. especially if you can cut something out similar to this 4 holed thing I found:
  25. i can say that the mayflash dolphin bar with real wiimotes works perfectly. It's great.
