  1. All these systems should have easily had images downloaded by Launchbox. Users have been scraping these platforms for years without issue. If LB can identify the game and you have the "Scrape As" set to the platform you are downloading images for there should be no issue. Where are you saving your images for your games in Launchbox? Is your LaunchBox build a local build on one pc or are you storing data on a server or cloud to share among computers? Can you go to your \Launchbox\Data\Platforms folder and share a pic of the files inside that folder? We have seen similar issues before and it came down to a multiple xaml issue in the data folder.
  2. It is likely not refreshing the playlist after you add it in BigBox. I know this happened before and was something I had mentioned once before. When adding to a playlist in BigBox you would have to restart BigBox for it to show up. Been a while since I have added games to a playlist in BigBox so looks like the same issue. I am not sure if it was ever fixed.
  3. Please do not create duplicate threads. We can move the thread if needed. You can also delete a thread if you think you posted in the wrong forum. I am deleting the other one.
  4. I cannot tell you why BB was coded that way. I can only confirm what it does and clarify what was being said. There has not been a huge outpouring of users requesting otherwise. So Jason has not looked into changing how BigBox sees true gamepad inputs.
  5. Neil is talking about gamepad controllers like DS4, Xbox One or 8bitdo (which is what the controller options in BigBox are for). BigBox does see two controllers, but it does not differentiate between Joy1 and Joy2. Those devices you named such as X-arcade and I-Pac replicate keyboards so yes they have more buttons, but it is seen as a keystrokes. Ipac and Xarcade have trimode options, but once you flip either one to, say Xinput, it now acts as I mentioned true gamepads do.
  6. You can. Jason even mentioned it in his post dated 16, Oct 2018. If you set up a code to lock BigBox you can remove those items from the locked menu view.
  7. You likely need to edit the PlatformMarqueeView.xaml and GameMarqueeView.xaml and change the Stretch command from "Uniform" to "Fill". But the odd dimensions of various marquee images could make man not look right. If the theme you are using does not have those view xaml files just copy the ones from the "Default" theme folder and paste into your theme. Then edit both of those with NotePad or NotePad++ and change what I mentioned.
  8. Moved to platform media subforum. All the subforum titles have descriptions. So you can see which spot is most appropriate. We are not overt sticklers here on that subject, but we do try to keep things close to where it should go.
  9. Dang, I completely misread the sentence you specified that in. I would recommend a screen just slightly smaller that way you have some sort of bezel. It gives it that arcade cabinet look/feel. The screen was always smaller width wise than the marquee. I would say the same with 4K for a main screen, not necessary, but if you can get one at a good price. Old consoles and arcade games were not 4K. There are some emulators pushing 4K on games like Cemu and there are even 4K patches in Teknoparrot for some modern pc based arcade games. Oh and of course pc games that can run in 4K. So it has its uses.
  10. Proper would likely be what fits best in the cabinet size you build. There is no standard to the marquee image size that users create so there is no way to properly size based of those dimensions. Just like the marquees used on real cabinets varied in size as well. If you can get a 4K for a good price go for it. There are not a ton of 4K marquee images flying around so I do not see a need for it. With the exception of 1 marquee (21:9 4K) all my others are 1080p stretched lcd and visually they look just a nice.
  11. I think this is what he said in his original post he was not a huge fan of. I think he wants it to be shown in Platform view and not Category view. Which unfortunately @neosean99 you cannot create a "Playlist" platform. Only a "Playlist" category. The platform level is what games get imported into. The process Shinji posted does do exactly what you want. So at least there is an option to do it.
  12. What format is the game manual (what program is loading the file)? If it is a pdf file as long as you have it in the platform's \Launchbox\Manual folder the LB/BB Pause Menu will show the manual without need to have it as an addition app. Otherwise the JoytoKeyClose.bat file attached in earlier posts should work, just change the .exe to whatever is opening the game's manual and set the bat file to run at close.
  13. I am pretty sure that dash you have in the command line is messing up things. I just set up Mame Plus to test and it works fine.
  14. Moved to game media subforum.
  15. You should not have to edit the Settings.xaml. For a while now I have been able to edit the order of the columns and it retain the position on new launch of Launchbox. Is it not retaining the order? What version LB are you on?
  16. What theme are you using? I have had this happen when using a theme that is not one of the defaults. Usually if it does happen I can get it to go back to the platforms by switching to a default theme. I then change back to the one I was using after it fixes. I have not had it happen in about a month though.
  17. You would have to select the option to "Force Import Duplicate Games" in the import wizard. Also, as long as you do not select the option to "Combine Roms with Matching Titles inot Single Game" it will add it along side the other one.
  18. According to the developer on the 3DSen discord the initial release will not have command line support.
  19. What version MameUI32 are you using? Depending on how old/new it is you may need to do a couple things. 1) Make sure the Mame.ini file (not to be confused with the MameUi.ini) is located in the root Mame folder (same spot where the mame exe is) 2) if it is an old version you may need to remove -keyboardprovider dinput from the command line box in you emulator setting in LB.
  20. In the download for this theme there is a template to use to create your one banners. As well as in the description for the theme there is a link on how to create banners. There is also a thread where they are sharing additional banners that have been created.
  21. That version of mame is very old. You will have to go into Manage Emulators and edit Mame. Remove the line below from the default command line field. -keyboardprovider dinput
  22. Ah shoot I missed that part in your first post. Is Windows fully updated and all your video drivers? I have not seen any of those cut lcd's need any drivers installed. Usually just plug and play.
  23. You should be able to right click on your desktop and choose display settings. Then select that monitor and scroll down to the bottom and select advance settings. On that next page click on Display adapter properties option and it should give you a pop-up window like in the image where hopefully you can change. As you can see on my lcd cut off monitor it has options for and 68Hz and 60Hz. Or in your Nvidia or AMD GPU software if you are using any there should be options in there as well.
  24. Check you refresh rate of the cut lcd. Some of those cut lcd will be set at a different refresh rate like 55Hz and can mess with BigBox.
  25. It just needs to be in this folder above. Which would be the same folder you would see the Mame64.exe and the MameUI.ini.
