@Robin55 No worries. Easy enough to download again.

@Robin55 Thanks a ton for this. I have a bunch of eShop games in my 3DS platforms with ugly logos. This is perfect to clean it up!

BIGFLIX: A new user experience for your HTPC
Retro808 replied to SNAK3ATER's topic in Big Box Custom Themes
I think from an aesthetic point of view the matching system keeps everything in line with the theme, as you said. I did not like it in Netflix at first, but I have gotten used to it and it has been pretty good at showing me shows I have ended up liking. So it has grown on me. The star rating is a tried an true view, but honestly I would not mind seeing a little change to something else and if it fits in well with the theme than it is not as if the change is going to stick out like a sore thumb. -
BIGFLIX: A new user experience for your HTPC

Gotta love a community that is eager to help each other out. -
FBA is a picky emulator. The roms will work if you have a current romset and the correct bios for CPS and Neo Geo games that work with your romset. Even then on FBA forums there are reports still of issues with games not being scanned or running. Probably why many here use the FBA cores in Retroarch.
-
What rom set version is your Roms from? If memory serves me right FBA works with roms from 175 and newer. Well at least back when it was version 0.2.97.40 that was the case. I would assume the latest FBA version still needs roms from at least that version to current.
-
Are you getting an error or it just will not launch? Just set it up as you would most other emulators. Make sure your rom paths are set in FBA directly. Then add FBA as an emulator to Launchbox. Make sure in the associated platform tab you list all the systems you want to use FBA and make sure you enter the name as they are listed in your Launchbox set up. On the emulator details tab be sure to check the "Use file name only..." box.

These functions do exist. BigBox has had for a while the ability to move your controller (for example move left if your game scroll is up and down) to pull up an alpha numeric list and then you simply scroll to the letter or number and BigBox jumps to the first game of the selection. In Launchbox the latest beta now lets you hit a keyboard letter and Launchobx will jump the the first game in that selection.
-
I see the issue you have to check the CPS1, 2, 3, and Neo Geo Hardware boxes so it knows what systems to list roms for.
-
You know you can put the pics directly into your post. No need to host on a 3rd party site. What about screen caps of the FBA screens I mentioned?
-
Maybe share pics of what inside your roms folder looks like and the folder structure. Then pics of the select game screen in FBA as well as the rom path screen in FBA.
-
Well it is not the emulator as when I did the test it was from downloading the latest version before my post. It is FBA v0.2.97.42 64bit
-
Latest version of what? Your roms or the emulator?
-
Not sure what is going on. That is pretty odd. Are your rom files zipped? All I did was download FBA to test for the question you had and there were no issues. I even set 4 rom paths as each CPS 1, 2, 3 and Neo Geo roms are in unique folders. FBA finds them all. I do not use FBA so that is why I tested it. I use Mame standalone or Retroarch FBA cores to run these oms.
-
Did you click the "Show Available" setting in the options? It is off by default. I do not use FBA standalone for NEO Geo of CPS games but I just downloaded it and st the rom path for all CPS and Neo games and it found them with no issue.
-
You just need to find the logos for CPS1, 2, and 3 you want to use and then place them in the corresponding platform image folder. The downloads section will have several versions of CPS clear logos you can use. If you created them as unique platforms then the image folder should be located as \Launchbox\Images\Platforms\[Platform Name]\Clear Logo. Delete the arcade image in the folder and put your new one in. You also need to make sure it is named exactly as your platform is named in Launchbox. For example if you named it Capcom Play System 2. The image is named Capcom Play System 2.png

Seems to be working fine. I am on it now.

Man @Nyny77 between you and @faeran I am going to have so many theme folders on my system I may need a new hard drive.
-
Vanished? As in they are not in the images folders at all or simply they are not showing in LaunchBox/BigBox but you do see them in the images folder? Do you have your images in a folders outside of the LaunchBox folder structure?
-
Are you talking about clear logos? If so then all you have to do is go into your /launchbox/images/platforms/super famicom/clear logos folder and add the super famicom clear logo you want to use there. Just delete the super nintendo image. The new logo you use needs to be named as your Super Famicom platform is. So it would be like Super Famicom.png for example. When you start up BigBox you then need to go to settings and refresh the image cache or it will not show the new logo.

In Launchbox for music just go to "View" and then uncheck "auto play music". For fan art just go to "Tools" then "Options". In the "Background Priorities" uncheck the boxes that are checked. That will leave the background blank.
