Thanks for the update, there is no better big box theme out there, period!

One quick question: Two platforms - NES and SNES - do not match the colors of the platform video on the right side meaning that the colors of the "Press A"-box and the edges around other small boxes plus the release year are still green as in the original. It's weird cause in the "PlatformWheel1FiltersView.xaml " video shown by viking himself above it seems to work and it also matches within all the other platforms which looks really nice btw.

So any idea what could have gone wrong? Thanks in advance...

Strange. Have you a custom platform name ? In LaunchBox platform option. I take a look asap.

It's pretty easy to change. Since I don't use this option, it may be integrated in BigBox option (?) Otherwise, you can simply change the code.
 For example, if you use Wheel2GamesView.xaml.
With a text editor, open it and go line 1146 and change       Source="{Binding ActiveGame.FrontImagePath}"      by     Source="{Binding Path=ActiveGame.Box3DImagePath}"
And voila !

Hmm. There may be a conflict between the Windows "Category" and the Windows "Platform". @eatkinola What do you think ?
You can do some tests:
Open this file with a test editor :

Respect the form well. Change only "Value", not "Key".
Line 57, You will find the Windows Platform. But you need a category. Can you try adding a new line in the category section? Tell me if it works.

At the end, probably. I too have a little Bartop 4:3.
But it will be more than an adaptation. My whole concept is based on the image ratio. In 4:3, I will need a new layout.

Any chance to add 5-Player Simultaneous for the player field as Columns 3 on mega drive has a 5 player simultaneous mode?

so I have a 3440x1440 screen which I believe is 21:9 , so your theme has black banding, view platform wheel 3  filters is my fav view, is there a way to make ur theme full screen? if not I have a suggestion. I ported your 4k video to Emulation station and colour matched a system video background and made a 32x32 blue square for megadrive, in theme xml file I then set it as a background as a tile so the blue fills the entire screen and laid  ur video over it. wondering if a simlair thing could be done with your theme for this view? I am new to launchbox so im not sure how the theme works.

@Pixelpiper @Darklight It is not so simple to make responsive for BigBox. I mean design side. On the code side, it's simple.
You can simply test my theme by deactivating the lock 16:9
In theme folder, open   ThemeSettings.xml   with a simple text editor.
Find this line :
     <Force16X9AspectRatio>true</Force16X9AspectRatio>
And change to :
    <Force16X9AspectRatio>false</Force16X9AspectRatio>

No guarantee!
But I will be curious about the result. Post screens!

almost the text needs a slight adjustment but very close

@viking so I started playing with your theme xml file and to fix the big play button outline I changed:

Stretch="UniformToFill" to Stretch="Fill"

and the result

for that view it be nice if the gamelist view matched the platform background colour. atm the canvas is white, I did a very lazy example in paint so don't judge lol with white text it look very uniform, so the gamelist colour changes per system to match

Loving the theme thus far. Just have a request if you could please add or show me how to add my own? It's in regards to when using the view as Platform Categories. Were you planning on adding new icons there? because the default i'm not a fan of. I have uploaded a picture. Thanks.

First off, thank you! This theme is AMAZING! It's the reason I've settled on BigBox as my frontend. No other theme comes close.

I do have one question: Is it possible to make it so the platform/game doesn't auto-advance when navigating? I would prefer it to be a button click to select the platform or game I'm interested in playing. 

Overall a small thing, but something that would make this perfect in my eyes.

@viking @kidshoalin - Sounds like good troubleshooting advice, viking. Mapping the platforms to colors requires that Ao.Bigbox.Themer.v3_9_7a.dll.config file. There is no way to guess how a user would have setup and named their platforms and categories, hence the need for an editable configuration file.

Love the theme, clean look and the 4K support, just not a fan of the game selection wheel disappearing.

Hey, where did you find that?  I'm having the same issue.

and in their individual folders:

E.g.: \LaunchBox\Images\Playlists\Classics\Clear Logo

@Corgan go into BIGBOX options then images and refresh all images, you should be fine then

You may be right, but I think I tried that and it didn't work.  I'm not sure but I think the Refresh Media only refreshes the games in the current view and with a playlist logo I'm not sure it refreshes that.  I could be wrong.  However, I just found the cache folder and simply deleting the folder and letting it rebuild (when you restart LB or BB) worked!

It's here: \LaunchBox\Images\Cache-BB

Note: I'm assuming this is not an issue with this theme, I just happened to encounter it while messing with this theme

Looks like you're halfway there -- you defined your new platform category in Ao.Bigbox.Themer.v3_9_7a.dll.config.

Next, you need to add this platform category to Ao.Bigbox.Themer.v3_9_7a-Colors.dll.config, e.g.:

<add key="Category.MICROSOFT_WINDOWS" value="(hex color code of your choice)" />

The same process is used to define colors for platforms and playlists: (1) make sure your named category, platform, or playlist has a mapping in the main assembly configuration file, then (2) make sure there is a color for this mapping defined int the Colors config file.

I think this is the same issue I noted as well - anybody know if there's a way to change this functionality so selecting a game requires a button press rather than having it automatically transition in when navigating with the wheel? Don't know if that's something @vikinghas already addressed. Apologies if so!

Just bought launchbox because of this theme. Keep up the good work!
