Cheers @Mr. RetroLust and enjoy your new retro gaming experience

For the handhelds I use the custom shaders that Tatsuya made over at the Libretro forums (https://forums.libretro.com/t/handheld-border-shaders/2551). For the 8 and 16 bit systems I use easymode with an NTSC filter (either Blargg's or NTSC passes). I love CRT effects with a little bit of bleeding. No curvature though. For N64 and up (i.e. PSX, Dreamcast), that start using different resolutions at the same time and 2d/3d blends, I use a custom N64 shader made by SigmaVirus over at the Libretro forums (https://forums.libretro.com/t/authentic-n64-look-shader-possible/5908/6). It emulates a pass through S-Video with enough bleeding to make me retro-enjoy it For MAME I made a custom GLSL preset using CRT Geom Bloom as base.

Got it; then making a support ticket in EM or contacting them through the link I shared couple posts above might be the only way. Hope you can sort it out soon

Beautiful work Harry

If it is happening with HS as well, it might be something related to your email address and its domain. Try registering with a different email, see what happens.

Hey guys, Refer to this topic about creating dynamic auto-populated playlists. In there you will have the steps to create them, and you can select the value "Star Rating".

BigBox - Select Random Game Feature fixed by "Wheel Spin"
Kondorito replied to FreeSoftwareServers's topic in Features
Works great! Thank you Grila Thinking out loud, a small enhancement (at least for me) would be to make the scroll jump to the bottom if pressed Up at the first item, and jump to the top of the list if pressed Down at the last one. I thought about this, because since the play modes are sorted alphabetically, the "Single Player" mode is always listed at the bottom, and it would be much easier if I just press Up once, instead of scrolling all the way down (specially with MAME, which has all the play modes so ~10 items).- 167 replies

Never heard of an issue like that with EM. What is the domain of your email address? Maybe it is blacklisted on their end? My recommendation would be to contact them through https://emumovies.com/contactus/ Just in case, Im tagging @circo

Hey GSaloun, I recommend posting your suggestion in the translations topic: That way the guys doing the portuguese one can update it accordingly

The machine you will be moving to should not give you any problems in running videos without any lag or stutters, although there is another variable for this scenario, and it is the location of the files. You can have a great machine, but if the path of the executed files is not local, you might have some lag depending on how everything is connected/configured. I completely agree on the SSD advices above. I am moving everything to an SSD very soon (the trigger for the change in my case was the machine startup time and the time it took to launch shelled BB). My work laptop has an SSD and it boots in less than 10 seconds, so for sure it will be a huge improvement on your Front End experience. As a heads-up (even though I do not know your location worldwide), Amazon US has Samsung SSD 500GB drives for $118 (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0781Z7Y3S).

Thank you guys. I really like both approaches. Great idea @Suhrvivor in combining the two.

Great work! Mind if I ask you how did you modified the games bottom bar, to show play mode and rating as controllers images and stars? Really digging that.

Hey @Jason Carr, I just took some time to test Next thoroughly (sorry for taking this long :S) and I am seeing that even though I have LB configured to language English, the Menus (content inside the burger icon) are showing in the OS language (which is different in my case). Just wanted to give you a head's up, although normally users will have their LB language same as their OS one.

Sorry if this was already stated in previous pages; I havent read them all I would love to have the "Mark as Completed" in the game details view in BigBox, so I dont need to keep going back and forth between LB and BB.

'Recently Played' Playlist Video and Clear Logo (2 versions)
Kondorito replied to Kondorito's topic in Platform Media
Thanks RK If you will be using this in your set, check the topic again, as I just added a second video option (maybe you like it better). -
'Recently Played' Playlist Video and Clear Logo (2 versions) View File Hey guys! In the last few days I added the 'Recently Played' auto-populating playlist to my set, and I was bummed to realize that there is no media for this category (that I could find), so I went ahead and created two simple videos and a clear logo to go with them. I am nowhere near the great video creators from this forum (I would have loved to make a video with a synced equalizer, and graphics flying all over the place hehe), so be easy on me. Option 1 Disclaimer; the video source clips and song are from Polygon.com by Reverse Enginears featuring P Sus. I edited stuff in and out, changed resolutions, times, blurs, fades, etc. Recently Played.mp4 Option 2 (ALT) Disclaimer; the video source is a fan-video made by Kriskappashox and FreankExpo's Staff. The song used is "Donkey Kong REMIX [Super Bass Boosted]" by San Holo. Recently Played ALT.mp4 Option 3 (ALT 2) Disclaimer; the video source is from YT user 4096 called "Evolution of Game Cartridge". The song used is "Donkey Kong REMIX [Super Bass Boosted]" by San Holo. Recently Played ALT 2.mp4 You can also grab the logo I made that goes along with the videos. The bitten gamepad is based on an idea from designevo. If somebody wants to improve or create a video/logo for this category, please be my guest; the more options the merrier Enjoy! Playlist Theme Video Requests...
Kondorito replied to angelobodetti's topic in Playlists & Playlist Media
He guys! This is just to know if somebody is using an autopopulated playlist with the recently played games, and if so, if you have a logo and/or a video for it. It is a great addition to your set so you dont need to start looking for your recent games in every system, but without media I don't want to have it in my set -
Playlist themes for recently played games ?
Kondorito replied to Tromzy's topic in Playlists & Playlist Media
Hey! Were you able to find media for "Recently Played"? I am in the search as well (specially the video). EDIT 2: I made a video and a clear logo. Sharing it here as maybe it helps somebody with this playlist and no media for it. -
Mr. RetroLust's new man/game cave
Kondorito replied to Mr. RetroLust's topic in Collections and Builds
I hear you! I made an action in PS to batch remove the bgs of the cabs from the progettosnaps set a long time ago, but a lot of black cabs with black bgs ended up with some weird borders, so I gave up Keep up your great work. -

Kondorito replied to Mr. RetroLust's topic in Collections and Builds
Looks beautiful! From where you get the cab images? I found them in progettosnaps but they all have a black or white bg, not transparent pngs. -
Thanks DOS. I used the LB import tool and got weird results, so I cleaned it all, and simply did a drag and drop of all the desired zip files in LB; doing that did the trick. Don't know what could be the difference between both ways as they should be the same process. Nevertheless, let's wait and see how the MAME stuff evolves.
-
Cheers Charco. So the MAME db match up embedded in LB matters in terms of metadata, and not the actual import of games. I told lfan to select all his games and right click expand, as maybe he did not "loose" games in the importing, but some got combined because of their meta. At least when I did my import (which was pretty similar to his), I saw that the imported number was diminished, but then realized that it was because a lot of games got combined.
