  1. Thanks for everything man. If it happens again I will see if the logs show something in regards. I'll stop flooding the topic with this matter. Keep up your awesome job Cid. Being able to use this theme is like using both HS and BB at the same time, so it makes me happy.
  2. I give up, hehe. Found how to enable logs, did it, and as soon as I launched it, worked fine... Disabled the logs and tried again, and now is working fine. Goes back and forth between views without any problems. I am almost certain that it has to do with the image cache or similar, but don't know. For sure is something on my side, not on the theme itself. I'll send the zipped folder, no problem, but feel free to disregard it as I don't want to waste your time with something like this
  3. Just tested it and it happens the same, so it is not the transition. I do have a problem with the platforms view; the same thing as the games view. Each time I go from the BB menu to the platforms view, freezes for a minute, then silky smooth. When I go from the platforms to a specific system, freezes for a minute and then shows up fine. When I go from a selected game to the game details works fine (I asume because the details view is not related to the Unified theme). If I go back from the game details view to the games wheel, freezes for a minute, and the same thing happens when I go back from the games view to the platforms view. I thought that maybe was because of the video engine (I am using the WMV one, as it works great, and the VLC one gives me a little stutter and some times garbage pixels), but the same thing happened. So, I do not know what it is that is trying to load that takes so much time; first idea was the wheels, but even with force populate all, hapened the same. Do you know by any chance if BB has a log debugger? The log folder shows empty, so I might need to enable it somewhere. It could help to reproduce the issue and then take a look at the logs, and see if there is dead time/no lines, or if something gets logged that could help resolve this. The strangest thing is that I am the only one affected.
  4. Got it. Will post here the outcome in a couple of hours. QQ; if the transitions are harcoded for all the views, should I make a change as well on the platformwheel view xml file? I can test it with the BB default theme for platforms and go back and forth into each Unified system with your modified xml to test if not.
  5. Thank you Cid for your kind and prompt help; I will test it once I get home. If I recall correctly (and if it helps) I have all the transitions set to None in BB, but will need to verify just in case.
  6. +1 to center the selection in horizontal and vertical lists/wheel
  7. Hey @CriticalCid/guys! I have a problem running this awesome theme, and I hope you are able to help me; it runs butter smooth while I am in the platforms section scrolling the wheel, or inside each platform scrolling the games, but every time I move from one section to another, BB freezes, I can hear the video sound playing in the background (from the selection of the new section) , and after a solid minute or two, then it switches to the section I accessed and smooths back without problem. It currently happens when going back and forth from the platforms section and enter any platform, and when going from the game details menu back to the game list. Do you know what could be going on? Thank you in advance! EDIT: I did a force cache of all the images, and started working awesomely, but then restarting Big Box made the problem appear again. Maybe it is something with the clear logos? I do not know what to do. Any help will be highly appreciated!
  8. Dont know if this will help, but I added yesterday a CHD game to my set that I did not have (zooo.chd), and this great game does not come with a zip file originally; its just a 12mb CHD file. I did not have to create any dummy zip/rom, just import rom file, select the chd file and thats it.
  9. I know this is not what you are looking for, but if you do a global search for example for "Donkey Kong", you will get a list of all the DK games you have on all the systems in one place.
  10. Take a look at this topic of new potato friendly shaders for the game boy family: https://forums.libretro.com/t/simple-textured-shader-for-non-backlit-lcd-systems-gbc-etc/15520
  11. Chris, go to Settings > Onscreen Display > Onscreen Overlay. Make sure "Display Overlay" is on and then select "Overlay Preset". Go to your overlay folder in Retroarch and select the cfg file corresponding to your png. Thats it. If you dont have a cfg for a png, you can use any from the overlays folder, and edit its content to match your png file name.
  12. I had a similar issue some time ago with MAME and JoyToKey. I learned that MAME uses raw input as default to read multiple devices and to reduce lag, and since JoyToKey emulates strokes per assignation/mapping, MAME was not recognizing them. Solved it by opening the mame.ini, finding the line " keyboardprovider auto" (without the quotes), and changing "auto" for "dinput" to force it. Hope this helps.
  13. Loving all these retro overlays! Great job.
  14. Verify that the platform name you created matches exactly the one you wrote in the second tab of the emulator. Also, you can try pasting the command line for the core in the first tab as well.
  15. Maybe in the game info line, next to the play mode? On a side note (as I know you will be releasing more views), just wanted to leave here my preferences just in case; have a vertical straight list instead of curved, have it on the left side of the screen, and have regular text instead of logos in the game list. Thats it. Too excited with this theme. Arriving home in a couple of hours and will test it out as soon as I can.
  16. Gorgeous job Critical! I love the unified concept from HS, and the additions you have from LB makes this the ideal theme
  17. @faeran duuuuude! You rock! Impressive work
  18. @Melter try rebooting the machine in Safe Mode and see if it starts there. If it does, then a program or service is blocking BB. If it still does not open up, then Im out of ideas (and I dont want to say "reinstall the OS").
  19. Awesome work @faeran! Out of curiosity, are you planing on doing some from the Sega or Sony families?
  20. Loving it! Like all your pieces Dont forget the fade out Keep up the awesome work!
  21. Just saw this topic! Awesome work Styph! Have you made by any chance the Arcade and Sega Master System ones? I have currently modified your platform boxes to meet the banners measures.
  22. Thanks for the quick answer! Hopefully one day/
