  1. I am still on the last version of mameuifx before he stopped. But it's a no-nag version compiled by someone else. No reason to switch, as all the games I'm interested in have been working well since 2000 lol.
  2. Oh damn, that's a bit of An issue.
  3. If you use enough Viking videos and re-encode over and over, you could get that crazy endless mirror effect like when you point a camcorder at the Tv while it's plugged into it lol.
  4. This is a really nice feature to have for weeding out non-essential games. Never knew this was there.
  5. Orionsangel on YouTube. "Realistic arcade bezels made by me" search for that. Stuff is awesome! Plop the zip files in the name artwork folder and it works great. Some of them need to have screen stretch (horizontal and vertical) adjusted on the slider controls in the in game menu.

  7. I would wonder if you could tap into anything in the retroarch program? Doesn't that keep track of the retro achievements for every core and do that update message for each core when you are playing different ones? the standalone emulators I can see being next to impossible, but it seems like it might be a possibility if you could tap into the update message that retroarch displays.
  8. I'm sure in theory you could figure out when retroarch is throwing that message to the screen, and then convert it to a nice little icon with text pop up notification. I have no idea though, as I know nothing of actual programming. But that would be a great step to take in the quest for seamless retro gaming via frontend.
  9. Yes go to the fade tab of that system and turn it off, then you might be able to see any error messages that RL is showing you.
  10. It would be cool if launchbox/ bigbox could look inside before it sends the command , and have a pop up window for you to select. I've made a copy of the file and renamed it to what the alternate version's name was. But that's just making a split version yourself sort of.
  11. I've noticed that my rocketlauncher has a really hard time bringing up the pause menu over bigbox. Like sometimes it won't show but I can hear the menu sounds. Big box must just Be so powerful that even RL can't get on top ? Lol.
  12. This is too bad. Hopefully someone can rebuild with all the assets and update it to work. Was actually thinking of going back to this one for a while because I sort of miss the look.
  13. Yeah sorry for noticing that, but DOS games never had a WINDOWS logo on them. Let alone the modern one. Some in the mid 90s might have a logo for windows 95 since it might be compatible with that OS, but they would still have been ran in actual dos. Then when the game was exited, you'd usually have to go back to C:\windows and then type "win" to get back to Windows if I remember correctly. Surely you can post and share what you like, I just don't foresee anyone who knows better to find them useful if There is such a contradiction right on the box.
  14. That's what a fade option is in rocketlauncher, but it's only with animated images at best. Maybe someday that could be an option built in to launchbox so that it could cover up the emulator while it loads underneath whatever's being shown on top of it. Helps to give the seamless effect.
  15. would there be a reason for putting a windows logo on an ms-dos box?
  16. Re-import the hack rims into your new platform, then it will populate and show up. It is sort of weird that you can't add platforms ahead of time with 0 games if you want to add games later. You could also make a hack/home brew playlist to show all those games.

  19. That's a good tip. I'll try that. I just used auto populated a few times because Its way quicker than going through each platform and searching for the appropriately named games.
  20. I'd like to be able to delete a game from an auto-populated playlist. There are a few redundant games in my playlists (like 2 in ones) that need to go, but it won't let me. There must be some reason, but it shouldn't be that way after the list has been made.
  21. I have the mariokart game working . Have to load a save state when you start, to skip the first screen. Then I save my own in slot 2. I have it all uploaded to mega, I'll get the link up when I'm back home .
  22. Has anyone ever tried to launch the dolphin emulator, then visualboyadvance, launching the bios, so you can then play the Pac-Man Vs. game? I can get it to work regularly by launching in the correct order and booting into GBA bios. But then I was wondering how to integrate it into a frontend. Rocketlauncher had some module options for it, but they didn't actually do anything when selected. Maybe there is someone who knows enough AHK to write a script to launch visualboy advance and then boot into bios after dolphin launches the pac-man vs. game?

  24. Looking good. You should add a link to the platform logos you are using, since they compliment this theme so well.
  25. Would be nice to someday have all emulators integrate a standard achievements code they could easily insert into their program, and have it be "earnable" offline as well. It could show you what you got offline and then sync up when it detected a connection. That way you always felt like you were actually earning it no matter what your connection level.
