Platform Console Images

23 files

  1. Hardware / 3D Box .png images + all drawings from Dimensions.com + Controller mapping / Shemes

This set contains images of various consoles, mobile, computers .png format, all drawings from the site Dimensions.com , as well as device logos on a white background:
-There are several device images in the Device folder in the format .png with different orientation in space, but first, these are consoles with a horizontal arrangement (handheld tilts so that the screen is facing left. The consoles are on the right facing the center, and the controllers are on the left facing the center), then for other console models / revisions, after the image of of controllers and accessories. (Not all images are from third party sites, some are cropped by me, so there will be a lot of 'unnecessary' images in some folders in case you don't like the ones I use, such as handheld with screens not turned off (I use the first few images and number them in order, and then when the beginning of the file name is repeated, then 'unnecessary' images follow)).
-The Default 3D Box folder contains controller mappings, schematics, and drawings from Dimensions.com. (You will notice that on some platforms there is no controller mapping, and this is because I downloaded them from the user:  @Pyrometheous 🛐, for which I am grateful. Therefore, I will also recommend you to supplement the missing images from Controller Mapping .6).
-The Default Box folder contains .png images of consoles packed in boxes (well, those that could be found (or their 'mini' editions)). Except for: Sega Saturn, Xbox One, Xbox Series (To be honest, I didn't want to add folders for these platforms at all and add drawings from the site Dimensions.com into the 4-Genesis and 7-Xbox 360 folder).

  2. Plataform Folders - Photoreal Controller Vectors by Pineapple Graphics

    Hello everyone,
Using the art created by @Dan Patrick in his release: Photoreal Controller Vectors by Pineapple Graphics 2.1b
(This is a collection of incredible vector drawings graciously donated by Pineapple Graphics (Aka Snowway22)
I created these folders separated by platforms, so they can be used by the Dr. Folder program and customize each icon of your systems according to your taste.
    I hope you enjoy it.

  3. Photoreal Controller Vectors by Pineapple Graphics

This is a collection of incredible vector drawings graciously donated by Pineapple Graphics (Aka Snowway22)
    https://www.instagram.com/pineapple.graphics/
    https://www.etsy.com/shop/PineappleGraphicsShp
    https://www.reddit.com/user/Snowway22/

These drawings take Snowway 10 to 15 hours each! I found this artist on Reddit accidentally and was instantly blown away by the quality of his work. Having a lot of experience in Adobe Illustrator myself, I was shocked to find that these were vector and not 3D models. His artwork showcases very clever techniques to sell the 3D effects including stunning imitations of various materials.  Snowway said, “I ended up really enjoying the process and just kept going. I work as a graphic designer so I can make stuff like this in between ‘real’ work stuff. Everything for my job is rush rush. So, it’s really nice to relax, listen to some music, take my time and get lost in the detail. “

I told Snowway about LaunchBox and how this kind of artwork would be a huge boon for the frontend community. He was willing to contribute and even asked for suggestions on more controllers to draw. I gave him a list and some references to help. He said that he’d get to most of them, but he doesn't want to be rushed. I said take your time!
Snowway later said, “If you could in any way shout out or plug my Instagram however or to whoever… that would be amazing. I, of course, don’t make any money from that but it’s been a fun hobby and the validation is a good motivator.” Guys, show your appreciation to this artist and enjoy his awesome work!
Most of the “favorite” platforms are represented here. Feel free to suggest things here but just know that these drawings take a lot of time. While I’ve made carefully chosen suggestions based on what systems I think are most important and that people actually play, Snowway is the one crafting the art. I will continue to post more as this project grows!

The current list of included platforms is as follows:
    Arcade (multiple versions)

  4. Controllers - Colour Cutout Platform Images

This is another controller image pack based on my previous Stencil pack. They are colour-cutout style icons representing the controllers of each system, e.g. Amiga mouse, Sega Mega Drive Control Pad, ZX Joystick, various handhelds etc. I've also included a few variations of some of the images, e.g different colours or regional variations.
I've only done the what are probably the most popular systems but I'm willing to take requests for any systems missing, as long as there are reference images available on the internet.
All my own work, but if anyone uses them all I ask for is a quick credit. Cheers!

  5. Controllers - Stencil Platform Images

This is something I've been working on for a currently in-progress Big Box theme, but I thought people might get some use out of them. They are single-colour, stencil-like vector-art, representing the controllers of each system, e.g. Amiga mouse, Sega Mega Drive Control Pad, ZX Joystick, various handhelds etc. I've also included a few variations of some of the images, slightly different styles for selected images.
I've only done the what are probably the most popular systems but I'm willing to take requests for any systems missing, as long as there are reference images available on the internet.
All my own work, but if anyone uses them all I ask for is a quick credit. Cheers!

  6. Controllers - Outlined Colour Platform Images

This is another controller image pack based on my previous Stencil pack, similar to my recently uploaded Colour Cutout set. They are coloured icons with stark black outlines representing the controllers of each system, e.g. Atari ST mouse, Sega Saturn Control Pad, Commodore 64 Joystick, various handhelds etc. I've also included a few variations of some of the images, e.g different colours or regional variations.
I've only done the what are probably the most popular systems but I'm willing to take requests for any systems missing, as long as there are reference images available on the internet.

  8. Colorful Dark Category Fixed Images

There were a few images in the Colorful Big Box theme, I use the dark version, that didn't appear properly. I have changed the name of these few to fix the issue. I assume the fix will work with the normal colorful theme but the folder name will have to be changed. To Apply just unzip the archive and drop the folder into your Launchbox Folder, Replacing any images if asked.

  9. System Media - Stencil Platform Images

This is something I've been working on for a currently in-progress Big Box theme, but I thought people might get some use out of them. They are single-colour, stencil-like vector-art, representing the media of each system, e.g. SNES cartridge, Amiga disk, Sega CD disc etc. I've also included a few variations of some of the images, slightly different styles etc, and some generic images, i.e. floppy disk, cassette tape, CD etc.
I've only done the what are probably the most popular systems but I'm willing to take requests for any systems missing, as long as there are reference images available on the internet.
I'm also working on Console/Computer images in the same style but they will take much longer to finish, but watch this space. I also have a Controller set available for download.
All my own work, but if anyone uses them all I ask for is a quick credit. Cheers!

  10. Platform & Platform Category Images Set (cleaned and adjusted)

Couple hundred .png images in this set. I believe it includes all the Platforms & Platform Categories (see list below). I think most of them are from @viking's collection, but there are others I had found or created as well. Like Nintendo GameCube has both the purple one and a black one.
The screenshot shows this collection on the top and originals on the bottom.
I done some re-sizing (most are between the 400-600 pixel range or larger), some cleanup and some color adjustments on them trying to make them look more realistic and vivid in color. Brighter whites, darker blacks, etc.. Not a huge difference, but a little better.
All excess transparency has been cropped off making the image size more accurate to what you see when using them. All the work was done in Photoshop (2022)
These can be used in your regular rig as well, but you will have to copy them to the appropriate folder one at a time. (I made these more to drop into a theme you might be working on without all the individual platform folders)
I had done these for the themes I work on and just thought I would share 'em.
    -Enjoy

  12. LV-101 Device template files (PSD)

LV-101 Theme device template files. Includes two files. One for adding filters and the other one for canvas.
    Instructions:
First place device image to lv-101-theme-device-template. This adds the filters to the device image. Convert device image to smart object before scaling it down. Open smart object and mask device image. Close smart object and add effects. Select device path and copy the image to the canvas file (lv-101-theme-device-canvas), where you can scale it correctly to match the other device images. Save the canvas file to png 24 or 8bit. I have used 8bit png for the devices. It's important to use the right canvas size for the device images (1200 x 800px), so they show up correctly in the platform wheel.

  14. Nosh On This Twice - Clear Device Logos

This pack contains a total of 3247 of what I am calling clear device logos. Basically a combination of a clear logo and a device image. These are meant to be used for platform and playlist navigation in your BigBox theme and will be released in a theme I am working on soon. The pack folder structure matches what you would find in a BigBox theme and is the easiest way to include them in your setup. The point of these images are to use them for themes that utilize device images in the coverflow control.
A majority of the images in this pack are genre playlist images for each platform which, is definitely overkill for what is actually needed for each platform but for now this will do. Seeing as how I would have to go through each platform and deturmine which genres actually apply to that platform and then remove the images that are not needed. If you need to save space, you will want to only pick out what you need from this pack instead of using the whole thing. Also note that the genre images and platform category images are the same for each platform and are basically were just duplicated and renamed to include the platform name. Hopefully at some point BigBox will have a default folder used for fallback images that you could use for every platform, that would cut down the number of images considerably.
Here is the breakdown of what is included:
    90 Platform images
    2858 Playlist images
    299 Platform Category images
Note: the genre images are for the most part are black and can be hard to see on a black background, I may tweak them going forward but I only found this marginally annoying so just leaving them for now.

I know that this is a Launchbox forum, but at the end all we need the most possible media for our cabs, isn't it?. And I have to say that this forum is awesome.
A lot of thanks to Viking for his great work.
I modified the PCB from four players to two players only. I hope you like it.

  20. Sega Megadrive.jpg

Hi everyone, a very little contribution ...
Cut it and paste in .\LaunchBox\Images\Platforms\###\Banner
###: the name of your system

    Useless part, my reasons:
I wanted to do a hyperspin theme before, but finally I prefer the BigBox, I do not know if I could customize as I wish. But for the while, with some of my work, I made this icon for the menu launcher. I hope you enjoy. I keep the same idea as the basic model that shows "16-bit ...." I found it very cool ... I hope to come back to post a theme for BigBox, which mean that I did what I want to do  (animate a background with a grid of neon scrolling made with blender and some other things...).
This is the first version of the system, my pretty machine, I cleaned it regulary with specific oil (really ^ ^) to maintain its brightness ...  I think it must be the European version, or PAL. In any case, it was the one we have in France ... the red was the 60hz (U.S version for us),  knowed to not to have the cropped image and to be a little faster. It's a tribute for this legendary machine for me...
As you can see it's not called "genesis" but "megadrive", another difference.
Cya and sorry for my english.

  23. Systematic .ico Pack for Windows Folders

I love the systematic theme for Retroarch, but since I use LaunchBox, I rarely get to see it. So I converted a bunch of it to .ico pack for all of my rom folders. Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this. I couldn't find a more appropriate area. The icons are multi size, from 16x16 up to 256x256, so they should look good at any size. Not every systematic icon is converted, but pretty much any commonly used platforms should be represented. Enjoy!
