v2.2 - Former "Alt views" version with static wheels is now the main continuing theme called: "Neon Deluxe Arcade" again. - Partly rebuild using the latest Community Theme Creator of which; less and more efficient code which in turn loads faster, thanks to legend @y2guru for his hard work and dedication. - Platform view texts (in view 1 and 2) are now lined out correctly and collapse when no input. - Icons: ESRB rating, Broken, Completed, Favorite & Portable lined out correctly and collapse when no input, gone are the transparent fallback icons. - Arcade PCB image shows if available instead of cart. (If you like to use PCB images with a transparent background check: - Named all items in Community Theme Creator more logical to understand the elements in coding and the future release of the CTC file. - Game Notes starts scrolling and is scrolling a bit faster, text layout is now set to justified instead of default left align. - Wallgamesview background is blurred now to accentuate front covers, more covers shown at one screen. - Changed some views around in a more logical order. - Added new Platform view (view 3) with room for platform details text. - Added new Platform view (view 4) with room for platform details text and background image of platform banner. - Added 12hr and 24hr clock next to each other so both clocks are there for people around the globe, no need to make a separate version per clock now. - Added fallback value "-" for missing game details in most views. - Changed screenshots in this post to reflect current version clearly6 points

Hey everyone. Recently, I've learned how to do API calls/requests to the RA API server to get a list of all linked hashes for every supported platform and because of that, I'm currently restructuring all the DATs so that it'll be easier for me to add, change and remove linked hashes from the DATs more often and more accurately. As a result, I won't be releasing any updates for the next 1 to 2 months, give or take. Thanks for your patience and support.5 points

Yes, I know. I have to redo the SNES videos and Photoshop. I've recently updated the Naomi videos with new CGI cab models. I invite you to download the PNG Hardware set. (It will be included in the next theme update) Light Gun Arcade has recently been added. The whole Arcade series is a long job, because I do them ALL in CGI. Thanks for your patience. The notion of buttons will be corrected in the next major theme update. Empty spaces are the graphic spirit here. This will remain unchanged, if not accentuated, in future updates. =) @ All other comments: I've added your requests to my todo list. Thank you for your patience! =D5 points

What's New in Version 1.7 - 100 new marquees. Thanks to @djweevil666 for the Soul Edge marquee. Thanks to http://adb.arcadeitalia.net/ I could find some rare marquees. I made a lot of custom marquees and recreated some. Some are very low quality but it was the best I could find as they are very rare.5 points

Update. I went a little nuts with the N64 startup :P. So far I have startups for all CD based games (PS1, PS2, PS3, DC, GC, Xbox, etc.), top loading systems (so far just N64 but will be SNES, Genesis, and more once I find decent front images of the consoles), and a custom jobby for PSP (as seen in the vid below). Still no idea how to get the little guys back in their boxes on game shutdown due to trigger issue. Hopefully someone can help. 2020-05-31 14-29-04.mp45 points

@faeran I was not able to resolve the game banners issue, but I don't mind as I wanted to use this theme for the categories and platform views (which is working beautifully), and then inside each platform/playlist different themes. I am in the process of making specific banners for my needs. Sharing them here in case somebody wants to grab them: Categories: Magazines and Pinball. Playlists: Hacks and Fan-Made, IGS PolyGame Master, and Recently Played. Platforms: Future Pinball and Pinball FX3. Missing for my set (that I will be doing next) are Microsoft Windows (from the 90s), 3D Realms (playlist), Openbor, Popcap, Tiger Game.com (platforms).5 points

Just finished uploading and replacing all 3D boxes to the database, added loads missing flyers, artwork and logo's, added color corrected flyers, added missing games to the database, corrected info etc. I think in total an amount of 5500 images added/replaced. So you might want to scrape your mame/arcade collection in 2 days from now (database mods will be finished by then).5 points

I'm excited to introduce the latest update of the "Mini Consoles Theme" for Launchbox BigBox. This version brings several new features that will elevate your game collection presentation to new heights! Overview Trailer Version-2.0.0-Overview.mp4 New Features 1. Arcade/MAME View: Imagine walking into a dimly lit room, only to be greeted by the vibrant glow of neon lights, screens reflecting off sleek surfaces and rows of brightly colored cabinets. The energizing cacophony of game sounds, chiptunes, and playful challenges fills the air, beckoning players to try their hand at conquering pixelated realms. This was the magic of a 90s arcade – a sanctuary for gamers, where stories were not just told but lived, one coin at a time. Diverse Cabinet Showcase: Just as arcades offered a smorgasbord of games, this view boasts over 48 unique arcade cabinets, each presenting a doorway into the past. Variants Included: The 90s arcade was never just about the joystick and buttons. Racing wheel games that simulated high-speed chases and light gun cabinets that brought first-person shooter scenarios to life were all the rage. This view recreates these specialties, ensuring that every gamer finds their niche. Atmospheric Navigation: It's not just about the games; it's about the experience. As you navigate from one cabinet to another, the shifting atmosphere and audio ambiance transport you back in time, simulating the sensation of wandering through an arcade, deciding where to drop your next coin. Detailed Reflections: Attention to detail is key. The glow of the game screen softly reflecting off the control panels, especially in the game details screen, doesn't just add to the visuals—it revives memories of intense focus and fingers dancing over buttons in rhythmic gameplay. Arcade BIOS Game Details Menu: To round off this authentic trip down memory lane, the game details menu mirrors the look and feel of an Arcade BIOS. It's not just about playing; it's about immersing oneself in the entire arcade ethos. Notes: "Screenshots", "Marquees", "Clear Logos", and "Videos" are utilized for the view. The cabinet style is designated by the game "Publisher" metadata. Racing cabinets are designated by the "Racing" and "Driving / ..." variant genres and Lightgun cabinets are designated by the "Shooter / Gun" genre. If you wish to manually change the cabinet to fit a specific aesthetic for a game, here are the supported publishers you can update the metadata for the specific game to: "Arika" "Atari Corporation" "Atari Games" "Atari" "Bally Midway" "Capcom Co., Ltd." "Capcom" "Cave (AMI license)" "Cave (Atlus license)" "Cave (Capcom license)" "Cave (Nihon System license)" "Cave" "Data East Corporation" "Data East" "Irem Corp." "Irem" "Konami Industry Co. Ltd." "Konami" "Midway Games" "Midway" "Namco" "Nintendo R&D3" "Nintendo" "SNK Corporation" (This is the red SNK cabinet) "SNK" (This is the MVS cabinet) "Sega AM1" "Sega AM2" "Sega AM3 R&D Division" "Sega Enterprises Ltd." "Sega" "Taito America Corporation" (Black Buttons) "Taito Corporation Japan" (Red Buttons) "Taito Corporation" (Red Buttons) "Taito" (Black Buttons) "Williams Entertainment" "Williams" 2. Steam/PC Games/Windows/Microsoft Windows View: Especially designed for Windows/PC Games/Steam enthusiasts, this view is inspired by the UI of the Steam Deck. Currently, I'm harnessing the metadata provided by LaunchBox, but hopefully in the future I'll be able to integrate the Steam, GOG, and Epic metadata for a richer experience. Until then, I'm confident you'll love what you see. Steam Deck Inspiration: This view is designed after the Steam Deck version of Steam OS. Library View: A seamless browsing experience to navigate through your games. Game Details View: Get all the information you need about a game with a visually appealing presentation. Overlay Menu: An intuitive overlay menu for the Game Details Menu, so you get all the additional details without any hassle. Notes: "Box - Front", "Clear Logo", "Screenshots", "Videos" and "Banners" are utilized for this theme. Unfortunately Fan Background and Steam/Epic/GOG metadata is not available for me to use for the theme currently. Screenshots are utilized first, then Banners as a fall back. 3. Mattel Intellivision View: This view brings the nostalgia right to your fingertips. Every time you select a game, the Controller Overlay will change to match that specific game. This is perfect for those who love authenticity. But there's more! This view also includes the iconic "My Intellivision" track from Intellivision Lives! which will hopefully set the mood. Classic Console Presentation: Experience the nostalgic Mattel Intellivision console front and center. Dynamic Controller Overlays: Game-specific controller overlays are showcased, ensuring that the controls displayed are accurate for each game if available. Accurate Cartridge Port: With the Mattel Intellivision's cartridge port usually on the side of the console, its been placed at the top with accurate cart insertion depth! "My Intellivision" Theme Song: Fans of Intellivision Lives! will be delighted to hear the "My Intellivision" theme song incorporated into the theme. Note: The Controller Overlays are handled via the "Arcade - Controls Information" metadata. 4. Dreamcast Region Specific Game Cases: Now, your Dreamcast game cases will automatically adjust based on the region you've specified in LaunchBox. Here's a breakdown of the region-specific cases: North America White: Set region to North America (This is the default setting) North America Black: Set region to North America Alt European: Set region to Europe Japan White: Set region to Japan Japan Black: Set region to Japan Alt Note: Changing regions for games is best handled via LaunchBox by selecting all games you'd like to change to a specific region, then mass editing the Region field and updating them. 5. Supported Views: To help with the initial configuration of the Theme, if a Platform attempts to utilize a view that is not supported, a customized view displaying supported options will appear. For example, the default view for the theme is Horizontal Wheel 1, however not all platforms utilize this view and a screen displaying the supported views for the specific Platform will be displayed. Note: Supported Views does not allow for BigBox wide Search. The Platform View Searching works as expected, and so does Game Detail Menu options like Related Games, etc. Adjustments and Fixes: 1. Playstation 2 Game Details Screen Cleanup: Improved the visual presentation and fixed minor glitches to ensure a smoother user experience on the Playstation 2 Game Details Screen. 2. Super Famicom View Update: Background Color: To make it distinct from the European Super Nintendo and North American Super Nintendo views, the Super Famicom view now has a fresh white background. 3. Alternative Naming Options: Nintendo Super Famicom: For those familiar with the other name variant, an alternative for "Super Famicom" has been added. Sony Playstation Portable: Implemented "Sony Playstation Portable" as an alternative naming option to the usual "Sony PSP". Panasonic 3DO Interactive Multiplayer: Implemented "Panasonic 3DO Interactive Multiplayer" as an alternative naming option to the usual "3DO Interactive Multiplayer" and "Panasonic 3DO". 4. Game Disc Animation Fix for PS1, DC, SegaCD/MegaCD, Xbox 360, GameCube: In rare instances the disc for the selected game would appear at the top of the screen when going into the Game Details Screen and backing out to the Platform View. This should be resolved. 5. PATREON EXCLUSIVE - Japanese Theme Variation: For my dedicated Patreon supporters, I've created a special Japanese variation of the theme. Platform Priority: This exclusive variation prioritizes the naming scheme for the Sega Mega Drive, Sega Mega CD, and Sega Saturn, emphasizing their Japanese identities. Button Adjustments: In alignment with regional specifications, I've adjusted the Playstation Platforms to switch the O and X buttons to the Japanese standard. Thank you to my Patrons for being an integral part of this journey. Your feedback and support push me to constantly improve and provide a stellar experience for all gaming enthusiasts. And thank you to everyone who uses the theme and I hope you enjoy the updates as much as I enjoyed creating them for you. Happy Gaming!4 points

Hello all, I have published my new theme "Game Room", which is a spiritual sequel to WoodPanels. It supports more platforms, more screen aspect ratios, metadata, and playlists! I have also included a familiar looking wood background as an alternate option if you still like that better 😁. Alrighty, I've released version 0.0.7. This significantly reduces the boot up time of the plug-in by generating lists and updating the image cache in the background while the theme is in use. I would highly recommend anyone who is using this theme to update to this version and delete your image cache so that it can be regenerated. The image cache is located at ..\LaunchBox\Plugins\Eclipse\Media\(WxH)* *where (WxH) is your monitor's resolution so somethiing like: (1920x1080), (2560x1440), (3840x2160), etc... Delete that folder and the next time you startup big box, it will be recreated with images of the appropriate size. Images will pop in as they are loaded so you will see something like this as as the images are scaled and cached in the plugin folder:4 points

Hi all ! Sorry for my late response. Health concerns. I will first finish v.2.0 of the theme before return to videos. I take your suggestions but I dont know yet the order. @Knowcontrol : Strange, my EmuMovies username no longer works and neither does the password recovery !! I no longer have access to the site or to the FTP !!!! I don't know where the problem is coming from. I will try to send them an email. For the location, I put the path in the initial post: FTP ://Upload Here/_Video Snap Submissions/COLORFUL Platform Video Set/4 points

So I used to play this weird game when I was a kid that had Star Wars droids, and there was some kind of factory where you had to make sure they were assembled correctly, or something like that. I've been searching for the name of that game for years, and nobody knew what I was talking about; no one had ever heard of a game like that from the early 90s. I started to think that I was going crazy, that I had never played such a game, but I held out hope. We're talking fifteen, twenty years I've been trying to crack this. I download this image set, and there are a lot of images for games here that I don't have in my library; naturally, I start going through it, image by image, deleting the files I don't need. And then I see it. "Night Shift", by LucasArts, 1990. Holy. Shit. I'm not lying when I say that my heart literally skipped a beat. I sat there, slackjawed, staring at this box for this game I've been searching for, for a good ten seconds, without taking a breath. I took it all in - my eyes going over every inch, thinking to myself, "Is this real?" And it is. It really exists. So thank you for this pack, for that image alone.4 points

Guys, this is great. Really ! But I would like to avoid multiple sources (tread) to download the videos. It becomes a mess and it is not clear for new users. For this purpose, I'm preparing a upload of all my sources + a tutorial on the guidlines. The idea is to have only 2 topics on the forum: The current video topic : We will find all mine, but also all yours. With your credit. 1 single place to download everything. Futur sources topic : There will be all my sources, and yours. I'll do a quick tutorial on guidline and my workflow. You will post your work in progress there and I could come and give advice and tips. The choice of color is very important, because for my theme, it should not change for the same platform. There may be several versions of the same video. I really do my best to put it all in place quickly !! I promise! Be patient and all possible help is welcome! ? ?4 points

Thank you ! Yes, the size of BoxArt comes back often in the comments. The "problem" is that it is important in the overall design. I already started working on it for the next beta. I reduced the overall size of the video by using the bands at the top and bottom. It's not much, but we gain a little visibility. I also reduced the size of the BoxArt slightly. A radical solution would be to remove the BoxArt from the main page and put it in the wheel, instead of ClearLogo. But I must also create Dark version. If I have space, I will make this version. I have a lot of work right now. I do my best to work on Colorful.4 points

Probably a within two weeks (could be sooner or later) for the LMNOP pack, around 3 to 4 weeks for QRST and a week for UVWXYZ. For the update packs to the missing boxes I can't make an estimate yet but perhaps a month in total, all could go much faster maybe but depends on real life/time/health things.4 points

constructive ideas are always welcome, but comments such as …. "im a visualist, i know if things look good or crap or boring, or interesting, and what others will think" is counterproductive, a lot of time, effort and creative energy goes into the creation of Graphics, Videos and Themes and with a comment like that you are just pissing on their creations, so far I have not seen any contributions to this forum by you, so perhaps you should think before you type.4 points

Hey guys! Just saw the new LB 8.0 video in Youtube, and the mention of this logos set. Heya ABeezy! First off, thanks for your collections and contributions to cart fronts and boxes, they are all fantastic quality and some of the best out there. Perhaps there's some confusion on the purpose of this particular application and how it works, however I originally never intended to provide templates, and instead the intention was for people to provide their own so they can have the carts look however they like. I included some random templates I already had in different resolutions and qualities as examples for people to test with. Whether you think removing a watermark for my personal use is in poor taste or not is up to you. However, based on your comments you seem to be confused as to how this actually works and why the templates are edited as they are. This isn't a collection of anything, this is literally a image compositing tool and the templates are edited to best work with the application. I am working on a newer version of the app and will be including more templates, which of course the original concepts of will be fully credited if applicable. Thanks!3 points

Just a quick work in progress update! Many have asked for Intellivision and a Windows/PC Games/Steam Platform view and here's the progress on those! Let me know what ya think and if you have any feedback I'll do my best to accommodate. The Intellivision platform view updates the controller overlays for each game if they are available as well! And I will say that right now I'm currently held up on the Windows Platform view due to how metadata is handled and I'm doing my best to work around that, but once thats figured out it'll be in the next release. @Mr.Retrolust. Thanks my friend but I believe I have all those files. I hope you are doing well. I have to give my son some credit as he cuts out a lot of the images for me. I clean them up and cut them out when I can. 2022 was busy for me so he felt bad and helped out. I'm hoping I can dedicate some time this year for more projects. I do check the LB website from time to time to see all that is going on. I'm impressed with all your files and hard work. I can see the passion in what you do. Here's to a great 20233 points

Yeah I have decided to tackle this project bit by bit. Naomi on its own is fine as about 100 games, but MAME is just massive. So I'm gonna do Model 2 and 3 after Naomi and then tackle mame board by board for eg Namco System 22 and work my way through it that way, then mop up the rest. I have too many projects at the moment and no time to do them.3 points

@AsparagusTrevor, thank you for your goodwill! As I said, Flikbox is beautiful and performs very well. I've been using it lately and found some interesting improvement points. Other points however are aesthetic and obviously you should approve. Well, let's start with the aesthetics: Maybe it was intentional, but I noticed none of the game view show their platform logo. Is that OK? The data/time item is interesting and many people want it. But I think at certain screen location end up limiting creativity. Maybe you could try other locations or even remove it completely. Now to the suggestions. The following images are mockups. I have no skill with creating themes. OK, let's go! Our theme focuses on black and uses beautiful dark gradients. I particularly love it so much. But it's important to create some kind of backlight for some objects, like these logos and box, so they don't mix too much with the black background: Next, most suggestions focus on selected objects. I increased the clear logo size and moved some object positions: The next view has a redundant element, which is the Clear Logo on top and on the wheel. You can add a selection ring to highlight the selected logo game or better, change the code to use another element on the wheel: In this wall view, the clear logo and the database game info are conflicting with the game boxes. All of them can dynamically change size or position depending on the selected game. So the area to their right should always stay clean. You could lock the clear logo area. But it can be bad for very wide logos. I encourage you to try the other wall views themes. If you still want to modify yours, I have two suggestions: Well, that's all for now! I hope you will consider some of these changes, really relevant points. Keep up your good work, my dear. This theme could get even better!3 points
