  1. LB really needs to ditch the time part of it and just wait for a video to finish all the way, then start.
  2. Big box is 100% worth it. Together launchbox and big box do everything that we have been waiting for hyperspin to do for the last 5 years or so. Get it now!
  3. is it an exhaustive list ? Or just some of your favs?
  4. Is that playlist in the downloads section?
  5. Hmm i've never had trouble with which buttons do what. Usually when you press a button on a controller it will highlight which controller it is on the tab. If you have a lot then be sure to set the max controllers to a higher number and then refresh, there will be a bunch of tabs then. Should highlight with a color when you hit a button, then you just go to that tab and set all the buttons.
  6. I know d-fend reloaded is technically a front end itself, but it's been a pleasure to use with rocketlauncher.
  7. I tried xpadder and while it's interface is really nice, especially with controller images,....it was very finnicky about auto-loading profiles, and I could never get it to work with rocketlauncher for keymapping specific games within the database. Joy2Key ended up working perfectly with rocketlauncher, so that's the one I use now. It's simple and straightforward and has most of the features you would ever need.
  8. I can't map controls on this. A window flashes super fast, and I have managed to get it to recognize the press of my SNES usb controller buttons if I am fast enough before the window flash is over, but even then, it only recognizes start and select in game.
  9. Where is that arcade shooters playlist logo from?
  10. mednafen.
  11. Heck yeah. great idea. I might like to actually have the text under as well.
  12. Hmmm well I didn't scrape as, I just brought them in, and they launch just fine. I usually add my own artwork if I want it, for homebrew/hack stuff anyways.
  13. I don't really get the gripe. I made a platform called "arcade Hacks" and just imported my hbmame games that I play into there. Then, since my emulator is rocketlauncher, the arcade hacks platform shows there, and I made the emulator in RL point to hbmame, and one point to mame under the alternate emulator. It's done and works fine.
  14. Speaking of swapping disks, I wish emulators could just simply start doing this automatically, I'm sure it's a beast to code that functionality, but still some genius must know enough to make that a reality. That would be the best way to have it dealt with imo.
  15. Exactly. If the core features that most of us need from rocket launcher (fades, bezels, joy2key mapping per database name) could ever be infused into launchbox/bb somehow, this would be the end of discussion and complete success + world domination! Lol
  16. Oh wait scratch what I said above. I forgot I have "Arcade Hacks" as an actual platform in Launchbox, so since rocketlauncher is using that plugin, it's in the system list, and I set that emulator to be HBMAME in rocketlauncher. In RL i have the regular mame as an alternate emulator for DKII. HBMAME is the default emulator for my "Arcade Hacks" system, and i am pointing it to both rom directories, so it can load from either one. But most hacks will come from the HBMAME directory. The other crazy amount of hacks didn't really interest me when I saw what games they were. But then again it's hard to know just what was changed, they might be fun. My HBMAME folder is only 30 gigs too btw.
  17. I'm not really sure how rocketlauncher is doing it because I don't have hbmame in rocketlauncher anymore, but it's loading systems from launchbox, and somehow it's still launching hbmame games with default bezel and everything. I used to have hbmame set up as a system back in HS, so maybe rocketlauncher somehow remembers that? I have a platform in launchbox called "Arcade Hacks" Where i have one game from the mameuifx directory, and 5 from the hbmame directory. It sends it to rocketlauncher and it works like I said above. So maybe set up a system in rocketlauncher through the rocketlauncherUI plugin first, before you switch over to Launchbox?
  18. my xml you mean? with only pac stuff?
  19. you guys gotta stop with the vhs line going down the entire screen so pronounced. I know it happened in real life back in the day, but I've never actually had a vcr that was this bad lol.
  20. There was another thread about this somewhere else in the forums but now it's down to a few very key features IMO, that make RL completely worth the hassle. The Pause screen: not because it allows you to pause the game, but because you can edit the save state and load state in RL (autohotkey .ini settings file) to send autohotkey presses to the emulator to save and load the game right from that menu. Fades: Default, or custom, it's just cool and sometimes it does actually work to cover up the emulator loading/flashing with the right timer settings. Bezels: I know a lot of people are using retroarch with overlays, but Bezels are just as good, and very easy to setup, especially if you get a good pack like metalzoic's arcade stuff. Mapping with joy2key: This is so important for me because I have not found an easier way to map controls for all of my ms-dos games. Once pointing RL to the joy2key program, you can add a new profile for the game in RL, and whenever that game loads, RL will start that profile right up! Even with multiple controllers. That's also how I have a few PC games with 4 players using two xbox360 controllers and two SNES usb controllers. But for ms-dos, this is a must have. plugin with launchbox: It works just fine with launchbox. Anytime you add a new game/platform in launchbox, RL will show it next time you start it, so you can easily tweak it right after adding it in launchbox. In launchbox, there's only one emulator: rocketlauncher. So once you go through the initial setup, I find it to really be a great compliment to Launchbox, and it actually has made setup go a little smoother now, since it's just select Rocketlauncher as emulator, add the game/platform, go into rocketlauncher and tweak some settings and done. It's all nice and uniform, and again. the biggest plus is the keymapping capabilities for platforms like ms-dos.
  21. I think the actual way to do this is to allow drag and drop of the platform names to the user's preferred order, and to just remember that. If they change their mind on what order, then all they have to do is drag the platform name to a different spot, with a line that shows up when in between platforms, so you can tell if you are on top or below whichever one you are around. Done. Entire sorting platform problem gone.
  22. I'll see if I can get a dolphin bezel going tonight. There's only a few things to try. If it doesn't work, then I just deal with not having it. but so far, I have a lot of bezels through RL. Works awesome.
  23. I just got HBMAME for the pac-man hacks. I have a full set, but only play those. don't remember it being a couple hundred gigs though. Like the 25 maze one, pac-man and ms. pac-man renaissance, unleashed. Have a playlist called "Arcade Hacks". Also has Donkey Kong II jumpman returns in it. but that is run through MAME.
  24. So bezel for dolphin. Does this mean a gamecube bezel? I know there are some of those for Rocketlauncher. I've seen them working before.
  25. My only issue, is do we really need there to be Master System red text at the bottom of every single logo? It clutters the image, and we should be able to place the logos as being from Master System because of the grid design.
