Thanks Neil. I read that the fix came with this update so thought it would be OK. I'll find that workaround.

I'm having this exact same problem. Updating from Beta 3 to the latest.
-
Still happening unfortunately. i'm using my own theme and still wonder if it's something theme-related. Will keep investigating. Hopefully someone will find a lead soon.

I use the Romvault rom manager, which will automatically update your DATs too using Datvault. The dev is also working on a plugin for Launchbox to allow syncing. That might solve your problem.

Update - it's working fine now, but the problem appears occasionaly. I guess it's software rather than hardware related, which is something at least.
-
Another clue - it's not just rotation it happens with; it's panning too. Stutter has returned for the main view but not the carousel. I've installed some GOG games meantime. Wonder if it's to do with some kind of V++ or DirectX extension that was intalled with one of the games?
-
I'm currently stutter free. I don't know what's changed. I'll keep a close eye on things.

Update - I'm currently getting smooth rotation of the box in the carousel, but stuttering when I maximise the box. A further clue?

@kobaturtle@SymmeTrey@Mock@DeadVoivod - do any of you get a temporary fix when changing to the Omni theme in LB?
-
Very odd. I just restarted the PC, loaded up LB with the Omni theme, and checked again - and the rotation works fine, running smooth. It's very nice to have smooth rotation, by the way. I then apply the default theme again in the theme manager, restart LB, and test again - and the stuttering problem has returned. So it seems to be your theme that has fixed it. Have you changed anything about the way graphics are handled, or DX versions, or anything about the carousel? It would be great to work out what the issue is. EDIT - I switched back to the Omni theme again, and....the problem has returned!! Arrrggghhh!! So I tested again, to see if it's something to do with switching theme. Back to default - problem is there. Switch to Omni - problem still there. Updated to Omni 1.1.0 - problem still there. So...maybe not that helpful after all. Something DID change which got rid of the problem. But I haven't changed anything else on my PC, so still unsure what's going on.

This has been fixed for me with the latest beta (13.6 beta 1). Same for the others here? Edit: it wasn't the latest beta that fixed it - it was @C-Beats Omni theme. The problem is still there with the default theme, but goes away when the Omni theme is used! Hopefully this major clue will help narrow down the source of the problem.
-
Yeah same, usually when it’s the first game. Any thoughts on this @C-Beats?

Not sure if it's specific to the current betas but just noticed this recently - sometimes videos don't play (though I can hear the sound from the video). The video itself just shows a black box. At other times the video will shrink to a corner of the video area (see screenshot).

Anyone got any thoughts on why this is happening?

Looks great. Any chance of fixing the box rotation stutter problem that has been mentioned by a few users in the other thread?

Seems to be a bug with the current beta - when I pop the game details screen out, and maximise it on my second monitor, the Retroachievements icons go large and blurry when my mouse pointer moves over them: When I select another game they return to normal, but the behaviour then repeats itself. When I move the pane back to the same monitor as the main Launchbox window, this problem disappears. The two monitors are running at different resolutions; could the problem be to do with that? Monitor 1 (with main Launchbox window) is running at 3840x2160, and monitor 2 at 2560x1440. Same problem if I have the main Launchbox windows on monitor 2, and move the game details pane to monitor 1.

Yeah I have an account; I've submitted a number of issues myself. Weird. I'll see what I can do!
-
Weird, I can't see the issue and get the message "This issue is submitted and being reviewed."

@SymmeTrey - could you list your hardware config please? And OS? @Mock - could you also list the rest of your hardware config and OS? Are you talking about the rotation in BigBox or Launchbox? Perhaps we can find something in common.
